WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Former Dallas Cowboy Joseph Randle was in Sedgwick County District Court.

Prosecutors say Randle tried to run three people over with his car and ran from police when they tried to serve a warrant in connection with the incident.

Randle is facing several charges stemming from the February 2016 incident at a Wichita home.

Eyewitnesses say Randle got upset at another man after who man used the "n-word," during a drinking game.

Those witnesses say they had to forcibly remove Randle from the house. Then, they say he intentionally hit three people with his black Honda.

Randle makes me cringe. The dude showed some abilities, but lacks the good head on his shoulders he needs to utilize it. He was not upper echelon talent, but he was definitely good enough to play in this league if he weren't such a **** up.

Its a sad story.
I hope he finds a way to turn his life around.

It is sad ...You just can't fix a combination of "Dumb" and "Stupid". He will most likely be in & out of prison for the rest of
his life.

Here is another individual who was blessed with skills, but did not have the mental faculties or self discipline to control himself and reap the reward of these gifts

Now what him tinkle away his life.

I knew he wasn't right in the head the second I learned he got busted for shop lifting underwear.

He obviously has some mental issues.

I think it was pretty obvious, too, but it'll be interesting to hear how the trial goes. If it's really an issue, it'll probably be apparent from the coverage of the case.

Is he even mentally competent to stand trial? I had read an article that showed he had severe mental issues.

Can't help but feel sorry for him on one level and indifferent to his plight on another. It's just sad that his sorely confused mindset betrays his talent and best interest at every turn. On the other side of the coin, he'll do things that anyone with a lick of humanity wouldn't. He can be his own worst enemy in that respect but it's virtually impossible to justify irresponsible cruelty. At some point, the arm of the law steps in to protect the victims.

I can guarantee you that they had competency tests and hearings already. That's the first thing they have to do before even considering a trial.....
