I think our TEs will pick the slack in the passing game.

Defense will be more stout vs the run. Which is really the key to advancing in playoffs. And I think the trend of forcing turnovers continues.

I'm excited to see it in action. I don't think we're going to be half as bad as the wrist cutters would have you believe.

Our pr/kr game is much improved. That will be a huge turnaround from previous years.

Like Williams, but "crazy good" rookie season I'm not seeing that one. Parsons had a crazy good rookie season.

Youre right but Parsons had one of the best rookie seasons in the history of defense: Ghats not the standard I’m talking about.

Look, I get it. This was a depressing week. We can all agree that What makes it worse is that what happened was totally predictable and likely avoidable. Proper planning would have made this a speed bump, and not a catastrophic injury event.

WTBS, some good things have happened during the 2022 training camp.

Sam Williams is going to be a very good Edge rusher. Add that to the scheme that DQ runs, and he has the chance to have a crazy good rookie season.

Daron Bland was a helluva find. So much so that I’d cut bait and send “Boss Man Phat” on his way to the recording studio.

Jake Ferguson could be our TE of the future. There’s no way I would sign a long term deal with Dalton Shultz. He is athletic, and has a high ceiling. I think his YAC will give us something we haven’t had at TE since JW was a young stud.

Kavonte Turpin gives us a true returner. The NFL has already been put on notice. Every time he touches the ball he has a chance to take it to the house.

Finally, I believe Dak has got better. I’ve always been in the middle when it comes to Dak so I’m not saying this with an agenda. He just looks better, and this might be the year where we need him to be.

What are your positives from this years camp and preseason? Let’s keep this from being a debate, there are plenty of threads you can do that on. Don’t argue with the opinions of others who think something is positive.

Nice post there amigo.... Up until the Dak part, i know i am one of Dak's biggest critics...and i said critic, not hater. It remains to be seen if Dak is better. He will have to have the courage again to run for some yardage that the defense is gonna give him. And not just be hesitant and laying on the ground taking a unnecessary sack. Also be more accurate and wise in his decision making. So all that still remains to be seen. But i do like Jake since they drafted him and have said all along that he could be the replacement for Schultz which is why i always said Schultz does not need to be paid top money in Dallas, let him get paid somewhere else. I agree with other points you made and would add that the defense will definitely be better than last year. Will it be enough to carry Dallas over the hump? No, they still need the offense to provide key plays in the post season in order to beat those type of teams. But like they say, that is why they play the game on the field. We shall see. That is my 2 pesos worth.

Arriba Cowboys......:flagwave:

They did plan. That is why they drafted a left tackle in the first round and have the resources to add a veteran lineman or 2 to the team.

As I mentioned several times last night, I have hopes for both Ball and Waletzko. There is something there to work with, but they both need at least a year on the roster, practicing, getting a bit of game time when they can. They are not ready to start or be big contributors.
Yep, we have potential with them in the future, but we need an adaquate starting LT now and we don't have that.
Even before Tyrone's injury we needed a decent swing tackle too, and don't have that either.
We really mismanaged the oline this year.

The cluenessness of our FO has finally become so obvious that it's even discussed openly in the media now. Slowly but steadily less and less people fall for the Joneses bull crap.

That's a positive, isn't it?
Didn’t take long for the crap to show up.

3rd year with Mike McCarty as head coach.
2nd year with Dan Quinn as defensive coach.
Dak 100% healthy
Zeke 100% healthy
The locker room is as tight as a gnats ***.
This is going to be a great year.
