when all is said and done, I wont be surprised if we end up with Dan Reeves as HC...Reeves obviously wont be looking for a long term deal and would be a good mentor for Garrett...he has already called Jones and indicated he is very interested, and it wouldnt break the bank to get him

I just wont be surprised if it happens, and it might be the best case scenario for us now

They have already told Reeves they are not interested.

My best scenario. Reeves would be capapble of a SuperBowl in 2007, and would likely be ready to retire in two or three years regardless. He would have no reason to feel threatened by Garrett. And Garrett would not feel like he has to jump at the first team that calls him next season to their HC, knowing that Reeves won't be here long.

This would be the best hire possible.

He wouldn't need permission, so, they may have already talked and no one would even know it.

Where did you see that. They talked about Reeves about three hours ago on NFL radio.

Not for nothing... I like Reeves... seems nice, former Cowboy... but he couldnt get it done with Broncos'(3x) and the Falcons(1x)....

I am not interested.

What's "couldn't get it done" mean? Didn't he at least get to four SuperBowls? How many other HC prospects discussed have even gotten to one SuperBowl?

I also heard that the team told Reeves they weren't interested. I think it was 103.3 that was reporting it on their local Sportcenter breaks at the top of the hour.

getting there before has nothing to do with anything... only Parcells, Reeves and Holmgren and few others have gotten there with different teams(neither winning w/ 2nd team).. whereas... Belichek got there on his own with one team, then Gruden, then Billick and others.... we need young "never been there" blood....IMO

Yeah in a diff thread last night Inman mentioned that mickey had said the team had told Reeves no thank you.

I too think he would be the "perfect" answer for a couple years.

Especially if the only other viable alternatives for whatever reason are Norv and Wade.

Oh well.
