Now I realize I'm gonna get toasted for this sophmoric idea and some of this is in gest, but let me know what you think about the following. Be gentle
Seems we may be heading for a coaching change in Big-D next year. If so here is my crazy, insane, wild idea.
Jerry beg Jimmy out of retirement for a couple of years. ( I know not a new one) but this is where it gets interesting. If Jimmy would do it, here are his coaches. You guys fill in the blanks.
Asst. O-Coordinator/QBs Coach-Troy Aikman-Still is up to date on todays game. Smart, experienced could be an excellent play caller. Put him in the booth looking at the defense, scheming and calling the plays down.
Asst. O-Coordinator/WRs/TEs Coach- Michael Irvin- Let him roam the sidelines and keep this team fired up on offense. Nobody's gettin out of line w/Irvin down there.
D-Coordinator/D-Backs Coach-Darren Woodson- We need that heart back in our defense and he's got some fire.
Now I know none of these guys ever coached before, but I think they have the fire and desire that could bring the winning ways back Big-D. Plus they are smart football guys who are still around the game. So it's not like it's passed them by. They are all still in Dallas w/possibly the exception of Woody, not sure about him.
Now I know I'm gonna get a lot of the Nate Newtons for line coach and he could have them all smokin dope type replies. That's cool I expect it. I do think the 3 I mentioned w/their mentality and competitive mind set could be good coaches even though unproven. So flame on and let's see your next years coaching staff.
