idk konz might be a reach in the 1st with his medical history. We might can get him were we pick in the 2nd. But idk. I think decastro. Stay put in the 2nd and get top cb, DE, OLB or even NT/DT. We need passrushers in the worst way.

I am fine with bringing in an interior lineman from free agency.

How do we get Konz and Decastro?

You dont think any of our current lineman can play? Arkin, Kowalski? Costa is garbage, I could push that guy back on roller skates.

I think we need to go secondary in the draft. Even if we bring in a corner in FA

We've spent 1 pick on an OL in the 1st round in 85 years.if one of those JAG's turns out to be decent depth then great. but IMO it's time to try it this way.

Dont disagree at all about better athletes in the front 7. The Dolphin NT would be a great get .

Basically I'm maxing out our XP on shield but leaving our magic in a precarious position.

Newman is gone. Behind Jenkins and Scandrick we have no one. Both will probably be hurt a combined minimum 4 games. We need young CB depth.

I think the teaming of
Smith FA Guard Kowalski 1st rd pick Free

would be a fine start.

This allows for a corner/ pass rush combo in the 2nd and 3rd.

Screw it, I'll ride with you. Decastro and Konz would be akin to the 49ers taking Davis and Iupati in the same draft, totally revamped their offensive line. Konz' health issues aside, of course.

I'd be very interested to see if his health ends up playing any role in his draft position or whether it's just been overblown on this forum, no one else seems particularly concerned about it just yet.

That's funny I had a scenario that year that had us getting Iupati and Davis. We were picking later then though and both were top 18 picks.

SF is 13-3 w/ a QB who likes rolling right as much as McGee. They found a line to make even him comfortable in the pocket .

You could make the Case romo has the best pocket presence in the league, and yet still every big game our line let's us down.

Like you guys said we need rushers and coverers. I think we can and will get a few DB's in FA. Pass rushers are expensive, so they might need to hit on some picks to improve that.

I just want a young, smart, homegrown line all on the same page

Naked stats don't make you a playmaker. Terence Newman has scored 3 touchdowns with 32 total interceptions in his career and you've had people here wanting to cut the guy ever since he was drafted.

Just saw a piece on cortland. Does a ton of cancer charity. Has a big mouth on the field but is fiery and competitive.
