28: R1P28 S JABRILL PEPPERS MICHIGAN
60: R2P28 CB ADOREE' JACKSON SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
92: R3P28 WR ZAY JONES EAST CAROLINA
133: R4P26 S JUSTIN EVANS TEXAS A&M
211: R6P27 OT JUSTIN SENIOR MISSISSIPPI STATE
228: R7P10 DL D.J. JONES OLE MISS
246: R7P28 QB TREVOR KNIGHT TEXAS A&M

I didn't like that none of the DE's fell where I thought their was value.
2 safeties as we lost two, and I think these two might both be able to make the team.
CB because we need at least one in this draft
WR as he was value there
Developmental OT to push for the swing tackle position who blocked for Dak in college
DL with some quickness and size
A developmental QB or WR or Safety.....not sure exactly what Trevor is in the NFL, but he does have skills. He may be nothing or may develop into a player. I like the player, but unsure exactly where he fits.

I am a firm believer that you take a player that will start for you in the first round.
Rounds two and three are for players you think will start within a year.
Round four and five are for players that ave upside and can be assets in future years
Round six and seven are for guys that have huge upsides but huge bust potentials as well. These guys usually need time to develop.

Your thoughts if Dallas drafted this group?

That's certainly a high-risk high-reward bevy of picks! I don't believe your 2nd 3rd or 4th rounders will fall that far, but I wouldn't complain if it happened that way.

Intriguing. It wouldn't be the worst draft. But as pointed out, your first two picks are high risk, high reward types.

I doubt Jones is there in the 3rd.

An unlikely draft but I love the idea other then ignoring DE position because value didn't match?
So you walk away from draft w/o your big weakness addressed. That's where dogma bites it's tail.

Yes, but if you can't find a guy that will beat out Tank, DIrving, Benson, Tapper, or Moore........who is available when you are drafting, then he isn't really going to play anyway. I had the choice or Carl Lawson or A Jackson in round two.....I think Jackson helps this team more. Round three Rivers, Hall, Basham were already gone and Jones was just setting there.

I just can't see them keeping more than 10 DL, so 5-6 DE's are it. I didn't find another DE that I thought could beat out the 5 already on the team, even if you don't count on Gregory to ever come back.

I don't think Jackson or Evans will be there.

I really like the players but Jackson likely goes much earlier in round 2 than our pick.

Zay Jones is a borderline 1st-2nd round pick. He will be long gone by the 3rd.

If it happened, I'd do backflips though.

I don't love all the players but that is a nice balanced draft, one I hope we have.

I don't know why but I think we draft Trevor Knight. Just a gut.
