We are meeting with some decent 2nd tier free agents, we have done physicals too two players can we come too agreement too sign, while we clear space or not? Just wondering cause there won't be any players left by the way we are moving with our extensions and that kind of stuff, thanks.

I wouldn't worry too much
1) We don't plan to spend too much in the first place
2) After the first few days, the FA market came to a screeching halt
3) There's a huge number of FAs on the market still
4) Prices are dropping by the day

Given the team's objectives, it's lining up well ...so far.
If some of the affordable guys they were targeting start getting snatched up, it could chance quickly.
For now...no probs

I think Atlanta is about sign him. He probably gets more than modest. Although I don't know what modest is to you. He's not much of a run stopper though. So I wouldn't want him on the strong side unless it was in the nickel.

I agree. It was no secret the Cowboys were not going to be big players in FA. The guys they are interested in are mid range players within the FA market. Right now things seem to be going as the Cowboys indicated at the start of Feb.
