Just curious with Adrian Peterson

It's clear that "All Day" could be the best player in the NFL today. Remember when those rumors were going around that Jerry really wanted Peterson and may trade up to do so? Looking back, would you rather have the best "Wow player" in Adrian Peterson, or possibly losing out on Felix, Jenkins AND Bennett? That's probably what it would have cost IMO.

Felix, Jenkins, and Bennett. Bennett is a starting TE on most teams. Jenkins is solid CB with potential. And who knows how good Felix can really be.

This is probably homerism talking but I really feel like ff Felix is able to stay healthy, he could be our AD.

It's likely that we would have had to give up more than just those picks to get there.

AD is the best RB in the game, but you can't rely on one great player to carry you to great heights. One injury can derail your season (ex. Tom Brady even though the Pats are a very talented team).

AD's the most explosive offensive player in the game. Gimme that anyday.

One thing to remember about AP is that he runs behind the best run-blocking line in all of football. He was never touched on that 75 yard run last night. Now I'm not saying any RB could do that, but imagine what Felix could probably do too.

He also made a sick cut to set it up. I don't think Minny's OL qualifies as the best run-blocking OL in the game by a long shot these days.

Hutchinson is still a top G. Mckinny is a top LT in this league. I think them and the Giants and Carolina are all in the top 3.

I'd take the combo of Felix, Jenkins and Marty B. over AP any day.

On average, running backs have short careers. Jenkins and Bennett are going to have, on average, much longer careers, and Felix, not being an every down player, will probably enjoy a longer career.

I think the Cowboys did the right thing.

I usually go with the 1 dominating player over a couple of good ones... but in this case, I think that Felix and Bennett can be dominating themselves and that Jenkins is a good one.

And I was one of the guys saying we should give up whatever it takes to get Peterson... so, I'm here saying that I was wrong.

Felix, Bennett and Jenkins are worth a good bit more that just Adrian Peterson is.

Homer quote of the month.....

Felix is not that far off from Adrian Peterson.

You may not be far off.

I remember Jaworski, biggest Cowboy hater ever, said last year that every time Felix touches the ball that he holds his breath just like he does when Peterson runs the ball.

Will Felix ever run with Petersons authority? Absolutely not.

But he can make plays all over the field and can give you similar overall yardage stats at the end of a game like Peterson.

I still can't get over Felix. He has the ability to do things Reggie Bush did at the College level on the NFL level.

This is a no-brainer. AD is a future Hall-of-Famer. I love our running backs, but AD is on a much different level from all the guys we have. Plus consider we'd still have MBIII to help share carries.

Who knows what kind of player Mike Jenkins will be, but apparently he's fighting Scandrick for a starting position. So I'd take Scandrick, and jettison Jenkins if it meant getting AD.

I'd take Peterson, Scandrick and Fasano over Felix, Jenkins and Bennett.

ditto.

The sad thing is...
the Commanders took Laron Landry while AD was still on the board.

They had Clinton Portis bro. And a Laron Landry/Sean Taylor duo would be nasty. Can't really fault them for that.
