Just for the record

All of you people who trashed or hated Parcells look like butt clowns (now) for trying to sell suck-*** Norv Turner to the rest of us.

and get me on record for this, I have to see what we do in the offseason as far as Free Agency and the draft 1st, cuz our success could be a byproduct of BIll's players and the needed additions to our roster: pass-rusher, FS, RG etc. plus Canty and Spears playing better

IMO, Norval is basically Barry Switzer part deuce

Be it Garrett or Turner or both together I think they will put anything from a 10-6 to 12-4 team on the field next season.

If this team goes 12-4 with Norv as head coach I'll call you Lord and Master Aikbach. If they EVER win a super bowl with him as coach I'll eat a turd.

lol...put me down for a turd sandwich, too, kw.

I'll eat it with pleasure. ;)

I hated Parcells but you won't see me shilling for Norv. It really is sad to see some of the posters I REALLY respected putting out like a cheap street walker for the idiot that is Jerry Jones. Today I weep for my team.:(

Nah, we gotta eat it without the bread

I would gladly eat a turd in losing that bet. I don't think we have to worry about it though.

I agree in that the success or failure of this coaching hire isn't the win/lose record for 2007. But will be the win/lose record 3, 4 or 5 years from now........

I hope Turner proves me wrong. However, I have seen him coach, and I have seen his results, expecting that somehow he almost doubles his career winning percentage next year is just silly. I have watched football long enough to know that turds like Turner dont miraculously become good just because they join your favorite team.

If we follow your logic, then the same can be said for Jimmy Johnson. After he left the Cowboys, he failed at Miami. So I suppose that he is not a very good coach.

Right?

I diddnt say anything about Jimmy Johnson, who has a decent career winning percentage and 2 Super Bowl rings as a head coach to go along with it. Thanks for playing.

If he is successful people can crow all they want because if the COwboys are winning I dont care

Now if the most likely scenario happens and he fails a 3rd time, I wont gloat, because him failing means the COwboys failure and there is nothing in that worth gloating about
I agree.

It blows my mind how you can be so against a mediocre coaching staff with Parcells and Zimmer, but so willing to embrace of a group losers that includes the likes of Turner and the rest.

because Turner failed in two places where everybody fails, although I am not sure he "failed" in Washington...nobody wins there in either place and its probably job 1 and job 2 on the coaching hell list in the NFL

Well, can't add nothing to that. You are back on my Christmas list, JustSayNoTo. I hope you like the red mittens.;)

My problem is Norv is redundant. Garrett is the disciple and will work with the offense. What does Norv offer as a motivator, game manager and tachtician on the sidelines. If he is calling plays as OC, he would be great, but I do not see, nor have I seen what would make him the choice for HC.

People are bashing him because he has not shown the above. Why hire him then? It just makes no earthly sense at all. I am not sure Wade Phillips offers a lot of that either but at least he would improve the Defense for sure.

Ron Rivera is the guy Jerry should at least wait til next week for. I mean what is there to lose in waiting a week now?

Screw crow, I'm talking 100% grade A flambe'd turd. That's what I'll eat if Norv gets us a sixth Lombardi.

Maybe people are starting to think we're one of those "hell holes" too, afterall only the Lions have a longer drought since winning a playoff game.

And there has been one constant throughout those 10 years.

Oh but wait.. even though those other hell holes have won playoff games.. even a trip to the SB, in our case it's simply just that the coaches, particularly the most recent one.. havent gotten it done. ;)
