Sitting here in DC, reading the forum and all the post and thinking about the up coming season. I said God just give me a sign if the Cowboys are going to win the Super Bowl this season and within a second we experienced a 5.9 earth quake.

So there it is, it is a lock we will win the Super Bowl this year!!

I didn't feel or hear a thing. Except the headboard banging against the wall.

Hope you and everyone you care about are okay.

Our building down here in the Hampton Roads area shook a little and everybody panicked and went home. My hometown is about 20 miles from Mineral. Hope everybody is okay...

That really is incredible. I lived in Tokyo for years and lived through many earthquakes roughly this magnitude. I lived 18 years of my life 20 miles from Mineral and we never even knew earthquakes were even possible, let alone experiencing any.

Yeah :laugh2:

My first reaction to finding out it was in Mineral was something like "hey, isn't the Lake Anna nuclear power plant about 5 miles from there?" and sure enough there it was on the news...

Sounds like they are shutting them down and the Washington Monument now is leaning like the leaning tower of Pisa.

You might want to tell whoever is in the other room to settle down your trying to sleep!

I'm here in Western Henrico County, only 41 miles from the epicenter... It scared the mess out of everyone! Thank the good Lord everyone is safe.
