Just How Important is Dak to this offense?

I couldn’t BELIEVE my eyes with the drop off in offensive output. From nearly 40ppg to a paltry 20ppg that was really just 13 until a miracle. Last year even the veteran Andy Dalton could only must 55% of the same ppg average!

Is this a coaching issue or is Dak masking how BAD the offense is? When Mahomes was injured his backup led multiple high ppg scoring games. Same with Brees. Even Tom Brady.

You call that a miracle but not the Pats?

Sorry...can't take you seriously.

Of course Dak is important...he is the starting QB. Aren't all teams starters IMPORTANT?

umm its 32 not 40 bro, calm down on the exaggeration .lol

yes a drop off is always expected from top 10 qb to the backup.. 32 to 20 i mean an adjustment here or three for rush after his first game he could do little better like 24..

of course daks important as all top 10 starters for their playoff teams its not a shock or revelations there's a drop off..

rush did not get afforded 2-3 defensive TOS either did he?

I mean dak was getting extra drives every game..some were pick 6 s 2-3 so those were all the offense in the 32PPG

lets be real here, hate to bring in bit of common sense but its game to game type comp not season..

Daks very important and this thread was unnecessary..

we also won without him and thats impressive on its own..shows the talent dak has to work with is very good, some of the best in the league..

rush played without Tyron smith as well at LT...so..

I think Pats are proving to be a decent team. Vikings are solid on paper but just not a very good team.

well the top 12-15 yes not as much drop-off from 15-32 because the gap between the starter and backup isnt much ie the Jets and to some extent Browns..

How are you going to tell a poster his thread is unnecessary lol? Especially with the crap that gets flooded on this site?

With Cooper, you're probably capped at 23 points, which is about the norm for a backup. With Dak, 40 points is always in play. I would imagine the difference is the same around the league with a top tier QB

He is the best bus driver that pushes the pedal to the metal! Not sure if this was a serious question as the results of when he plays versus when he doesn’t speaks for its self.

because i can
I meant captain obvious knows that daks important and drop off was expected..its not news to anyone but say Pappy lol
he did exaggerate we were not scoring 40PPG it was around 32 and some of that were defensive scores and extra drives we did not give rush last game..

Yep and thats why he needs to be on the field unless that leg is about to fall off !

Dude that's like saying you should drive your Ferrari at 150 mph with a nail in one tire.. I mean it's just a lil hole right? But if that thing rips the tire and you have a blowout at 150 mph your family gets to give you a nice funeral. The team decided that the risk of blowing out that calf and losing Dak for a long stretch was greater than they were willing to take. I wanted Dak to play as much as anyone.. but I understand why they did what they did.
