The Dallas area will have our first forecasted 100 degree day. The temp at KO should be right around 95, with a likely heat index of 101. :shatfan:

Temps inside TS will easily top 100 in the stands, and add 10-15 to that at field level.

We're about to find out if the indoor TC deal is a great idea or not.

Really the first 100+ degree day?

I would have thought it would be that multiple days by now.

All last week in WV we were getting 95-104 temps with a huge amount of humidity.

Plus I thought I have seen national forecasts with a great deal of 100+ temps already.

Just shocking. Figured it would have been bad there as well.

Now...do you think we show up in good shape, or do you see a eagles pickle juice game type of situation?

Of course we will be playing backups and such so it should not be exactly like the pickle juice game but you catch my drift.

Temps have been mild relatively speaking because it's been raining so much.

It has been getting into the low to mid 90s here along with high humidity causing the heat index to reach 101. Although it's been semi cool (80s) the last few days, it's supposed to reach the 90s again today and tomorrow.

I lost 5 pounds, actually probably 6-7 if you count the sweat on my shirt and jeans, from mowing grass and the biggest part of that was on a riding lawnmower as it was too hot for anything else.

It has been miserable...just crazy humidity and heat.

Whether they can handle the heat Thursday will not tell you whether it is a good idea to have training camp indoors!

That is why it is called preseason.

On the flip side, my grass looks like a wild field, because it's been too soaked for the yard men to cut. I gave up trying to wash my car, and now it looks like a totally different color.

We've had the 2nd or 3rd wettest summers on record as WG said. Temps have been uncommonly below normal .

Spent all day Saturday and Sunday putting down slate and then grouting it on my back patio. I died about 13 times. These crazy kids don't know bout the Norf-East's humidity.

Two words:

Pickle Juice

This heat wave must be hitting most of the country. It's forecasted to be mid to upper 90's here most of this week.

I'm 23 and have always lived in Dallas. The summer this year is the mildest I remember. It's been great.

And all those people kept whining about the rain.

Any military man can tell you that it only takes a few days for someone in shape to get used to the heat. All this talk about training camp indoors ruining the team is hogwash.

A few two-a-days back at the ranch will be all they need. Let theme do their learning (right now)in relative comfort.

When we bought our house back in Nov, we were debating on keeping the pool, or getting rid of it (filling it in). We decided to keep it for a year and see how it turned out. Needless to say, we will have it again next year after this summer.

Ughh, yea. This "any military man" will tell you different. "Getting used to," and being able to endure 3+ hours of 100+ heat, and remain relatively unaffected by it, especially when it comes to performing on a football field, is hardly something that happens in "a few days".

Well then I guess you disagree ..... although I did say a few days for people who are already in shape. After all the mini camps ,and for most the years and years of training, it will take only a few days for these men to get used to it again.

We are not talking about "Pukes" here ..... these men have been doing this the majority of their lives.

Don't forget that they have them air-cooled shoulder pads that they use for hot days. That helps tons...

Why alot of other teams don't use them is beyond me?
