I'm not a chicken little, the sky is falling. But if you listen to that interview, this team is a train wreck waiting to happen. It is very telling. Sensi tries to hold back, and he does a good job with his words of not throwing anyone under the bus, but eventually he does admit that our practices are not sharp. He says an awful lot in this interview. His body language is very revealing.

yep, Sensabaugh is a straight shooter & at one point in the interview stopped himself short of saying the defensive calls were coming in late, but it was obvious where he was going. Also saying players didn't know their responsibility on plays. Gerald also kinda laughed off a question about T-New having a speech for the guys, saying "naw , meetings not gonna do nothing, you just have to make plays, how I feel about it. I mean, Talking is nothing, you have to show what you can do out there on the field. We're grown men, you know why you gotta tell grown men a speech, we're grown

Yeah. It seems pretty obvious he was about to say the play calls were coming in late.

when i listened to it i heard a recurring comment about the players needing to execute.

making plays, doing what they are supposed to do.

he didnt blame coaching. he said they knew what to expect. players arent making plays.

there was the one reference to defensive play calls not being...then he checked himself.

the players need to step up and make the plays.

yep, revealing indeed. 14 more games and Wade is gone for good. Hopefully ginger too.............

No, did not see or hear anything like what you supposedly saw and heard from this interview. I have to call you chicken little.

What I got from the interview, is a player that is answering questions that he himself is trying to figure out. The best thing that he said that really in my mind hit the nail on the head, is when he said there is a lot of crazy stuff that is happening, or has happened.

I really do not see nothing to panic about, they will win on Sunday, on into the bye week work out issues and win when they come out of the bye week and continue to win

okay, we are 0-2, could be 0-3, but we will start winning.

I'm 50/50 on team meetings. We do have some younger players that do not value the Star because they have not earned it. Jenkins said we took a team lightly. I'm like what the hay! Sensi summed it up best, everybody gets up for the Cowboys. I think Bradie made the same comment.

But, I'm tired of talk. Team meeting or not, something needs to be done and I've been holding back on bashing Wade, but at this point, I do not think he is capable to lead this team. This much I know, a meeting was necessary. I would have preferred Wade law down the law than T-New.

Last thing, and I love Jerry, but the open practice, that was crazy from the start. Who does that???? You could tell Wade was not comfortable with it.... Jerry would have never pull those stunts on Bill. I recall the 1st Hard Knocks and Jerry playing DJ. Had the music blasting and Zimmerman was mad as crap because he could not communicate to the players and Jerry was telling Campo, he needed to keep the fans in it. As we all know, that season was a mess. Much like this season has started out. Jerry has his strengths, but boy.... can the team over come him. After the first two games, the answer is a decidedly.... NO

I didn't see anything too damning, either -- and I really was expecting to.

Werder asked him at :31 if lack of focus or intensity in practice was an issue, and he said no, he didn't think so. He said they just weren't making enough plays in the games.

Then later he said something about practice being iffy, but he didn't want to speak on it. Since it isn't focus or intensity, and he said they were prepared for this game, that almost makes me wonder if it isn't something along the lines of Jerry pulling guys out to glad-hand with sponsors like SDogo mentioned.

But overall, he just said they need to make more plays in the games and that's what it boils down to.

I will say that the local media are like wild dogs in a slaughterhouse looking for controversy. That was basically a 13-minute interrogation.

And to think that some people call Barber a jerk (actually worse) for never talking to these clowns.

OK. I'm sure if you watched it with an open ear, you would get that the team is dysfunctional. Said another way, and I quote, "on paper we should be 2-0, on paper we are a very talented team. We can't even win 1 of the 3 phases."

You see nothing to panic about and as Sensi said, "this is the same team from last year, what we lost 5 total games last year and we've lost two already". Yet we have the talent to be 2-0. OK, you don't worry.

CL, Sensi gave credence to Newman saying that we practice like crap. That is the point I'm trying to make. Now Sensi, didn't say it, but he did agree that something is wrong with the way we practice.

The pre-season was no fluke. The first two games were no fluke. We practice like we play. As do most teams. Newman said it, Sensi confirmed it. Until that changes, we will be hard pressed to be a good football team.

Last point, I've been critical of the media. But...... when a Super Bowl favorite is 0-2; you have a veteran player saying we practice in an inefficent manner; you can't win in any of the 3 phases; you find ways to loss games; you call a players only meeting; and your team is known as 'America's Team', you will get undue attention.

If the players play better, this would not be a problem. And I'm no fan of the Dallas Media. I'm on record as saying that. But when you stink up the joint for two weeks; its fair game.

As I just put in another thread, Galloway just said that someone who talked to Newman last night said he clarified that what he was talking about was the general circus atmosphere around everything... Not what the coaches or players were doing in practice.

But, but, but, but the practices during TC were so tough that the entire team was tired.

I thought most telling part of interview was that the defensive calls were coming in too late...that might explain somewhat why some of the players are running wrong coverage. It was enough of an issue for sensy to bring it up.

watched and listened to anything that gave credence to what the original poster got from the interview.

Nothing, nada, zero, you guys are what he said when he started his post, chicken littles.

CL, Lets say that Newman is right. That still does not solve the problem. This is the Dallas Cowboys. The team that was favorite to win the SB this year. Its goingt to be a circus. And Jerry did not help. You think that is going to change, Jerry advertising the team. I mean, the training camp schedule was horrible. The one year that this team needed to close rank and focus on going after the crown, and we parade them around the US as if they had already won something. My orginal post did not state it was the coaches. I just said that somehting is wrong. And based on your comment, we have it. Jerry is a distraction to the team with all of the circus stuff.

OK bro. Not sure I understand what you are trying to say, but alls good. This team has issues. The proof is in the pudding. 0-2. Pull your head out of the sand. I'm sure you hope they turn this season around. The catch to that B, is in order to turn around, you have to be first moving in the wrong direction.

You tell me that you knew this team was going to start 0-2. If you can't say that, then you must admit that something, some where went wrong. Just answer that for me.

I agree. Hard to figure. Wade is the only link between Bradie and the call. How is it coming in late? maybe he is spending more time on offesne?
