With the new coaches here and Coopers former coach here, are there any chances that he gets moved back to guard where we played in college?? If anyone knows how good he was, it would be his former coach!!

LT- Guyton
LG-Smith
C-Hoffman
RG- Beebe
RT- Steele

How sure are we that the cowboys feel like they've invested in the OL in recent years with first round picks, maybe it's time to focus elsewhere. You guys know we're cheap, this could save money in us not bringing in a free agent and having to pay them as well. Please give your thoughts!

Depends on any additions in FA or the draft. I don't expect status quo, so we really won't know for a while what the OL might look like next year.

Yes we know how good he was:
  • Unanimous All-American (2023)
  • First-team All-American (2022)
  • 2× Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year (2022, 2023)
  • 3× first-team All-Big 12 (2021–2023)
And you know I watched him his entire career at K-St and advocated for the Cowboys to draft him. In fact, when they traded down for Guyton, I immediately said we would draft Beebe. JMO but he stays at center.

i'm keeping him at c.
come draft time...i'd like to land better than terrence steele at ot...and better than hoffman at og...if possible.
we'll see what the draft-tide brings in.

If they want to go get a better center I’m all for it. I think Beebe would be a better Guard. Go get Drew Dalman in FA to be your center and Smith/Damlan/Beebe might make up one of the best interior groups in the league.

Keep an eye on Evan Brown

He was Adams center last year and helped set things. He could look for a familiar face of Will Hernandez to help get things going.

Could sign him, move Beebe to RG and let Hoffman be depth at LG C RG

really dumb to move him after one year. I thought he did well and he has the raw power and strength we have lacked since Fredbeard had to hang it up.
Hoffman just does not have what we need there. I think Hoffman works hard at it but just does not have the strength or heft we need.

OMG, why? Dude doesn't have the arms for OG. This would be incredibly dumb.

My own personal left to right so far is Tyler, Bass, Hoffman, Beebe and "open competition."

Hopefully Riley makes all 5 starters earn their spot though.
Where do you get the impression that Tyler can play OLT? I mean, I know Jerry convinced you guys he'd be an OLT in the pros, but the scouts thought differently, and he wasn't very good there his first year. What makes you think this?

I thought his All 22 tape was far better than average and even trending up by the end of his rookie year. He's far superior to Richards who is most likely the next best LT candidate on the roster.

I am not quite confident in Guyton ever developing his feet to be starting on the left side.

he will be there this coming year since Jethro will not admit he is wrong
and bluntly speaking he should be given at least another year there

So he spent all last year working his *** off to play the Center position and you just move him back to guard!
Why not give Hoffman and Bass a chance to compete for it?

There's buzz going around that they're thinking about this but I CAN NOT post the website where it came from!!

Embrace the change. We don't know if Beebe will get moved, but I think he will. Go watch ARZ Center and what he was tasked to do then go watch Beebe and see if he moves like that other Center. For the record, I believe Cooper can be the Center in this Offense, but also RG makes even more sense after the coaching change imho.
