OK, so I have joined my family to this decade by purchasing an XBOX 360. Yes, I know it is almost obsolete. As such, I am sure there are numerous games that were awesome for this console that I can now get fairly cheap. What are your "must have" games for XBOX 360? I will be playing it, as will my 9 and 5 years old... so, I would appreciate recommendations for all ages.

Well, if you don't already have it for the PC, I'd recommend Skyrim. Awesome game. Awesome awesome.

That's a new game, right? I am looking for suggestions on older games that I can buy cheaply/used. Since I have never had an XBOX, everything is new to me. I may as well pay less for older games & enjoy them rather than buy the latest releases at premium prices.

For me when it comes the X-box, the "Halo" series is first and foremost.

As a matter of fact, the original Halo game was remastered and recently released within the last couple of weeks...

I'm expecting one on 12-25. :)

Depends on what you like to play. If you like cars, definitely give Forza a look. No need to look at the old one, either, just get Forza 4.

If you like adventuring, get Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. If you look first-person shooters, there's a ton to choose from but my favorite is Battlefield 3 for the scale of the levels. Fan favorites are Call of Duty and Halo.

You should absolutely buy Mass Effect 1 and 2, as well. Two of the best games I've ever played. Can't wait for Mass Effect 3 in the spring.

Wow, you nailed pretty much everything I was going to suggest. Mass Effect 1 and 2 is an absolute must.

I'd add in Star Wars The Force Unleashed. Excellent. The second one is disappointing though.

Yeah i definitely recommend gamefly if you don't want to spend a bunch on games.

Also with gamefly if you rent a game that you do want to keep, you can buy it at a heavily discounted price and get the box and manual in pristine condition. Like if you rent MW3 and use the keep it feature you can get it for 40 bucks instead of 60.

They're also doing PC game rentals pretty soon too.

The ones I bought came from Best Buy's used games section. I think I paid about $12 on average. $19 for NCAA 11.

Red Dead Redemption and Borderlands were what I would have suggested, but you already picked them up.
