Considering Fasano would have been gone as well as Hatcher your list looks incomplete

Big deal ... replace Fasano with Pope and some other DE with Hatcher. No difference.

But instead, we took these guys at the expense of a McNeil.

No big deal? The scouts work all year scouting players and the Cowboys put a list together based on their skills and fit for our system, and its no big deal just take a different guy? Are you kidding?

McNeill was never gonna be drafted here because of his back. Narrowing spine condition is not something I want to spend a pick on.

You should let Parcells use your Crystal Ball.

I don't understand how Pat Watkins and KO Simpson slid so much. It sure did work out well for Dallas though. At first I was unhappy with the TE pick, but as soon as Jerry Jones said that a 2 TE set was going to be our base offense, I understood. Fasano is not a reach in the 2nd round, and he was a great security blanket for Brady Quinn. I don't undertand the Hatcher pick. I still insist that Max Jean Guilles would have contributed almost immediately to the offense. Other than the Hatcher pick our draft was an A, because of him I take it down to a B+.

I don't think McNeil was ever on our radar screens due to his back problems.

That's hilarious, cuz only a Cowboy fan would give our draft an A or B+.

Rose colored glasses off please.

At best, we're looking at a solid C.

LOL...I think that the Eddie poster "happy man", would complain if they did'nt hang him with a new rope! ;) Everything is wrong in his little world!

Dang it! If only the Cowboys would do things Eddie's way! :laugh2:

Well Simpson did because he's not very bright (or so several have said).

Watkins appears to have slid just because he's so damn tall. Guys that are almost 6'5 don't play free safety.

20-25 years ago you could find tall safeties... but like many of the positions, players have gotten "shorter". Athletic taller/slim guys are going into basketball.

I dunno Eddie.

I'm usually pretty negative about the Cowboys but I'm very pleased with this year's effort so far. Right now I'm betting we have two immediate starters in Carp and the TE. And I wouldn't be shocked if Watkins isn't a starter before the year ends.

The kick returner? Hey, maybe we can stop playing "spin-the-bottle" when it comes to the return game.

I rate it a solid "B".

The Watkins pick maybe the best of the entire c-boy draft.

Dude what are you talking about. Carpenter and Fasano were certainly worth their slots. Dallas had Fasano on the radar all along. Why do you think they traded down so far for just a measly 6th and 7th round pick? Dallas's return game sucks, and Green is one of the very best. Pat Watkins was the guy I wanted in the third and they stole him in the 5th. Other than Hatcher, they get an A. BTW have you ever seen Fasano play? He does not drop balls and he is a much better blocker than Witten.

Yes it looks better, but remember, other teams passed on Watkins also. He lasted until the 5th round for a reason, whatever it was. But he's a 'Boy now, and the draft has taken shape to provided needed depth. Remember, we are still one of the youngest teams in the league.

While others will find a way to whine about people whining.

We are fans and have a right to ***** about the draft picks and other team stuff. It is actually what drives this board. Time to get over it and simply disagree with those who disagree with the picks.

I agree with Jack. I have my Whiner's license so why not use it?

These are not bad picks just there were much better picks available in my opinion. I know, I know, what do I know? Not much obviously.

You're certainly right guys ...

a return man is the key to getting us back to the Big Game.

We have HUGE holes at OT, OG ... and with top quality players on the board, we take another TE, a backup DE, and a return man. Holy smokes.

I'm excited about this two TE set. Now we don't have a FB to block all those defenders rushing through our OL.

Let's address a need by pretending it doesn't exist.

Can someone PLEASE quote me?

Barring injury, Green will be the #1 KR on opening day.

By the end of the year, again barring injury, Green will be ESPN highlight material. Maybe not weekly, but enough so to make fans say, 'Dammmmmn'!

Huge holes? We addressed a lot of that in the free agency, and the draft isn't over. Chill.

Eddie,

What huge holes are you speaking of?

We have two brand new starters and a returning Adams.

I would an even better line but it's superior to what we ended with last year.

And keep in mind this team passed for the 2nd most yardage in Cowboys' history. 2nd most. And that's with a worse line that what we have now.

 It amazes me how the signing of T.O. can make some people hate the team they are supposed to be fans of.

All of our Free agent pickups sucked because ...... we signed T.O.

All of our draft picks sucked because ....... we signed T.O.

Every Play we try this coming year will suck because ........ we signed T.O.

:D
