I wouldn't say their Dynasty is over at all. They were very close this year and still have one of the best QB's in the game..

Thats what we thought in 96, 97, 98.

How refreshing to see a team not afraid to take chances.

Sure wish the Cowboys were a team that would take chances.
Oh, wait. Nevermind. You probably want the right to specify *which* chances, right?

My point with the pats. They have never gone for the top FAs before; they have never tried to sign someone who is a locker room cancer like Moss before- Dillon was NOWHERE near the trouble Moss has been.
When you start doing things you HAVE NOT DONE the last 6 years, then that looks like DESPERATION.

Dude, in 96, 97, and 98 our team was not at the level that the 2006 Pats were. They're one game away from another SB...

Thats because the league is watered down ..... the 96 cowboys would destroy the 06 Pats in my opinion.

I was just commenting on how Both teams have taken similar paths and I think the Pats run is over.

1993 12-4 Won Superbowl
1994 12-4 Lost in conference championship
1995 12-4 Won Superbowl
1996 10-6 Lost divisional playoffs

Pats

2001 11-5 Won Superbowl
2002 9-7
2003 14-2 Won Superbowl
2004 14-2 Won Superbowl
2005 10-6 Lost Divisional Playoffs
2006 12-4 Lost Conference Championship

Actually I think Dillon was worst in Cincy. He went out of his way to trash the organization in public and was beyond a disruption in the locker room. Now Moss is no choir boy but he has been frustrated because of the losing. The Raider organization is in shambles (just like cincy was with Dillon) and Moss simply wants out!

He is only 29 and is still a force to be reckon with. I think the Patriots will be able to allow him to blend in and see what is like to win. He will see that he is not the guy and he will see how they go about winning. We all know that winning cures alot of ills and the patriots just may be the perfect medicine for a player like moss.

He will be overwhelmed to have a QB like Brady and he will be forced to respect a coach who has won three SB and been apart of 6. The team will have two first round picks with a very good running back, Moss, Chad Jackson, and a pretty good defense with franchise tagged Pro Bowler CB Samuel and signing top FA A. Thomas in the 3-4. Remeber they did go to the playoffs and only lost by 4 points on a last minute drive by the Colts in the Conference Championship game. They were on their way to the SB if not for some last second heroics and last second defense by the Colts. The Pats can be good when on paper they are bad.

THey are good and will actually get better. I say yes they are pissed and want another ring.

In the watered down league we have now, the pats are better off then when we were going downhill in the late 90s. A few players can make a HUGE difference now. But I still say that doing what they have done already and what they are rumored to be willing to do, that the same desperation JJ showed then is being shown now by the Pats.

There is NO way that Dillon was worse then Moss. I remember those days well and it is NOT EVEN CLOSE. Dillon certainly has pulled NO WHERE Near the stunts Moss has done. Or the off the field fun and games.

Dillion was tired of losing and Cincy's cheap ways. He wanted out and then when he got out, his "problems" went away. Meanwhile, Moss is the same person he was in Minnesota, giving a half-arse effort wither in Norseland or by the Bay.

Its a real desperation move to sign one of the most talented if not the most talented receiver in the game to improve your WR corps.

Bill Belicheck must have loved watching Reche Caldwell dropping a TD and a crucial first down in the Indy game .

You cant teach talent but you can hone your skills. Randy might be a punk, but you cant deny his given ability.

Trying to find that piece that will put them back in the running ....

yet they are such geniuses and Jerry is an idiot ....

Its hard to admit that the Dynasty is over and you have to start over ....

Last time I heard, and I don't see any indication of it with Moss, the pats did not give up TWO first round pics for a player that had only made ONE pro-bowl...as an alternate.

Nor, as far as I can tell...did the pats started trading down every draft and drafting players ONLY to be backup players.

The most talented WR in the game today is not Randy Moss. I'm not sure I would say he is one of the most talented WR's in the game today.

I can deny it now...he just isnt that important anymore...he appears to have lost a few steps, isnt that good of a route runner and hates going over the middle...on top of that he doesnt even try half the time

Hes not important becasue he had Tuiasosopo, Collins, Brooks and Walters throwing him the ball. You put him with Tom Brady or Brett Favre, you will want him on your fantasy team again.

He has been hampered by hamstring issues in recent years and sure he might have lost a step but I am talking about his talent not his work ethic or route running.

Talent is god given, while skill is acquired.

I honestly miss firing up Sports Center on sunday night and seeing Randy Moss haul in those bombs.

Brady and Moss sounds like a mean combo....if only if only moss tried on every play. But IMO, if he plays for a contender, and not a 2 win team, hell get his arse in gear.

I agree, thats why I would not be against him coming here
