Just saw the cut-up of Pitts Zoom, Jerry is gushing

Even that is too much for me.
He has the potential to give us a Randy Moss type of impact. That is a very low cost to acquire such a player with that type of talent. Nobody could cover him last yr and he was matched up against both Surtain, Horn.

I think that is what Atlanta is doing right now with other teams. Think they are going Lance and might deal back to still get him, they may even take less. Problem is, we pick too far and Lance will be taken ahead of us in that 7-9 range if Atlanta moved back.

What would you give to move up to 4? Trade chart say our 2 and something else. I would give a future 2 and a 3 this yr for him.
I might do next years second with one of this year’s thirds. That seems palatable enough for a guy that I think is going to be that good. I think he is going to be a pain in the *** for the entire league for the next decade or so.

I’m probably higher on him than most people here.

Listening to 105.3 The Fan
They believe several teams have this guy as #2 on their board

Those of you not wanting him should like that, as almost no way he’s there at 10.

Worth a watch, about a 2 minute cut-up zoom interview with Kyle Pitts. Jerry is totally gushing over the thought of having him within our offense. If he gets anywhere near our pick, I am certain they will go get him.
Fine with me. Rather they take a player of high value than take questionable picks like Hill, Taco and Jaylon. We are so Jeykll and Hyde drafting..then suddenly we look brilliant and draft a CeeDee. Unpredictable is us.

I think they love Pitts and they love Sewell. And they rally like Surtain and Horn. If they land Pitts the direction of our draft becomes very different.

I don’t put him on quite that high of a pedestal.

I mean it's possible he falls. Depends on the QBs I think, and having someone trade up to grab one, and then the teams that are remaining going for their needs instead.

But I think Falcons trade down from 4 and take him just before our pick, sadly.

I'm hearing his most likely destination is Miami at 6.

This is what I think happens some team will try to submarine any move we do to trade for Pitts.

Miami is all about acquiring picks for the future. Maybe Dallas trades a pick this year and a pick next year to go get Pitts at 6? Miami still probably gets WR Smith at 10, who they apparently covet.

Saw a report last night that they were expecting to draft Pitts. I agree, think Smith is their target. I would give a future pick for Pitts, just not a 1

I’m not sure what I’d give but it would be a good bit. I think he’s going to be a game changer for the next decade or so.

The report this morning was that they may double move to 4. If they get up to 7, make a trade to 4, seems like a possibility. I agree with you, tremendous talent. For the Cowboys, think it's like adding a young Dez Bryant to an loaded offense. Catches everything, might even be a better route runner. Our red zone offense becomes elite. Think teams would be forced to play a lot of dime coverage, Zeke would have a field day against those fronts.

Yes, although I see him as a good bit better than Dez as a football player. That’s no knock on Dez... it’s just indicative of just how good that I think Pitts is going to be.

Dez was never the route runner that Pitts is. Kyle is a technician and does the little things needed to play his position.

I recently saw on the NFL Network (I think it was Scott Pioli) where they were talking about how Pitts plays TE, and how he would be very successful even if he didn’t have all the prodigious physical gifts that he was given. They actually compared him to Witten and said the technical part of their game is similar, and that Witten never needed a lot of physical tools to be very good. He said that Pitts will be great long after he starts to decline physically.

Dez, when his physical tools started to decline, even a little, simply wasn’t the same player and basically couldn’t find many teams who even wanted him. Pitts is so good at what he does in playing the position. His tools just make him that much better.

At his peak, Dez was great at high pointing the ball and Pitts is as well (although I think Pitts is better). I think that Pitts is going to convert a lot of third downs and sustain a lot of drives.

You’re right about the red zone too... he will add an aspect that Dallas has been missing since Dez left.

Anyway, yeah I think Pitts is going to worth whatever the team would be willing to trade for him. Needless to say, I’d be fully behind the team if they decided to go get him. If they wanted to go to 7 and then 4, that’s fine. Almost never do teams have a chance to add this kind of talent, no matter what position.

I would do a Pitts trade to move up if needed. No second thoughts. A high draft pick in 2021 is not going to be that valuable if Dak plays well after his injury.

On the NFL Network show Around The NFL, the panel were listing one thing that they don’t want to see happen in this draft.

One guy (who is a Cleveland fan) said the one thing he didn’t want to see happen was Cincinnati picking Kyle Pitts at 5. He said he wanted to see his division rival select Sewell or Chase. He said he wanted no part of Burrow to Pitts twice a year.

Another, (who is a New England fan) said he didn’t want to see the Pats take Farley because he is worried that his back won’t hold up.

When it was his turn, Marc Sessler said what he really didn’t want to see was Kyle Pitts to Dallas. When they asked him why he felt that way, he said that when he went to the super bowl in Miami, he looked out in the ocean he saw Jerry Jones’ yacht floating out there and it was as big as a city. He said when he goes to the Dallas Stadium, it is huge and a technological wonder, and the new team facility, is state of the art. He said Dallas has everything nice and the best of everything... then he said I don’t want them to get Kyle Pitts and have him too. They just shouldn’t be allowed to get him.

I used Dez as an example when we drafted him. His catch radius was huge when he hit the league, just sheer athleticism. Dez however never really truly developed as he relied more of his natural skills. Pitts has that want to be great. Did I hear this right, he didn't have one drop last season? He is improving a a route runner, even as an inline blocker. The best corners in this year's draft could cover him. Think NFL Teams have to put their best corner on him. He has Mike Evans size with elite speed and catching everything. I'm on board for go getting him as I see him as truly special.

Yep, zero drops. Also, a huge percentage of his catches went for either a first down or a touchdown.

You and I agree on this. Mike Evan’s is a pretty good comp for some of the problems that Pitts can create for defenders.
