First of all, we are 3 days removed from that debacle in Washington. Let it go! Let the Commanders fans revel in their victory. Let them pound their collective chests.
Look, as horrible as it may seem, picture yourself as a Commanders fan...look at the future of the Cowboys and the Commanders organizations and tell me, would you want to be in our position or theirs. Check this out. I absolutely acknowledge that we have some problems right now (OL, OC out thinking himself, coach that is happy go lucky and afraid to hurt feelings). But please allow this. Position by position on offense for the respective teams, who is built to win now and in the future? Do the Commanders have receivers in place to win now and in the future? A very old Joey Galloway and a Santana Moss who has lost a step? Do the Commanders have RBs to win now and in the future? I think you know the answer. Do the Commanders have a QB to win now and in the future? Do they have a quarterback to build keep building a team around?
I think deep inside, deep in their delusional minds, the Commanders fans know they really don't have very much to cheer for moving forward. They are reduced to grasping at anything, anything to put their reality, the cold hard fact that they are not building a good team, but a team built to be better than last years team . Oh, I'm sure they will say "well, we beat Dallas, so we are better than Dallas and Dallas is overrated....SAD. They are so desperate for attention, to belong, to be legit, that they conjure up delusional thoughts in their minds that they are actually better than they really are. Their players are better than they really are. It's because they want them to be, therefore, they are (in their minds). I read where people on this board say that Commanders fans are delusional and I agree. I wonder what the average Commanders fan think about their team, their organization, I mean REALLY.
Be thankful you are Cowboys fans. Yes, we are struggling now, but I really, really feel good about this team moving forward. One game does not change that feeling. We have in place now, a team that has the potential to give us joy and maybe even championship/s for the next few years. Look around the league and tell me how many teams can say that. Especially, the Commanders. Be thankful.
