But instead of selling the farm to trade up for Thomas, why not move Scandrick to safety and draft McCourtney at #27?

why not just go with alan ball and draft the bpa.

He did play well last year. I like his versatility. I'm not sure we need to draft a safety or an OL early on. I think we should go corner or receiver in the 1st round. Of course, the Cowboys could draft any position they want really.

I don't disagree about a WR, but where would he play? I guess if we think that Jerrah will one day cut RW, maybe after the season, it would be smart.

Not in the 1st round. They don't need to go corner, running back or quarterback in the 1st. Every other position can use the depth but our depth at those positions are fine. Corner is one of our deepest positions with Jenkins, Scandrick, Newman and Ball. Its one of the few positions that I feel confident in next season.

An even better idea, let Mike Hamlin and Alan Ball battle for the spot, and draft bpa.

If pouncey or Davis isn't there, then I'm all for taking McCourtney. newman isn't getting any younger and injury prone the last view years and you can never have enough corners

If Iupati isn't there at 27, I'm all for taking McCortey.

Draft McCourtey at 27 and he immediately improves special teams coverage and return units.

I'd really. Then, you could let Scandrick, Ball and Hamlin battle it our for the FS spot and whoever between Scandrick and Ball doesn't win, goes back to CB.

I'd actually even be cool with McCourtey in the 1st and Nate Allen in the 2nd, but realistically there's no way we go CB and FS in rounds 1 & 2 with our depth (or lack of) on the OL.
