THANKS FOR THE VIDEO CALICO

GREAT GAME...we should have killed them

Many are saying we got lucky, in fact they did.

We easily should have had 3 more TD's.

THE 2 things I come away with are:

1. Crayton will be a loss, his returns and catches were all HUGE..he really impresses me!

2. MARCO RIVERIA is TERRIBLE!

MANY of you state AL Johnson is getting BULL RUSHED.

LOOK again, the only one I saw getting thrown around was RIVERIA..he is the reason DREW through his interception!

I too, just watched the game and I agree, Patrick Crayton... wow... he really does impress me.. To me he is our go to guy on third downs.. Like another Keyshawn except quicker and with better hands. No disrespect to Keyshawn, especially after seeing that circus catch he made. I just think he found his niche being our punt returner / third receiver.. He is going to be missed. Marion Barber impressed me in this game also. Kept seeing #24 and saying who is that? Looked like he had some quickness hitting the holes, a little finese catching the balls, and strength picking up the extra yardage, plus his blitz pickup. Looks pretty good. Hopefully, he can continue to learn and mature. From the looks of it, we might have something here.

My observations.

Offense was ok. We were able to move the ball and control the clock but turnovers and mistakes killed us. We easily should have scored 20+ points. Drew was erractic at times with some of his throws. Barber looked pretty good and showed his toughness.

Defense played terrific. Even though they gave up the late TD. Look at how many times they bailed the offense out. The pash rush is getting better. They had Eli scared to death and making throws well before the receiver was ready for them.

Playcalling. Ok at times, puzzling at other times. Great in overtime though. Seemed to march down the field no problem into FG range then go conservative after that???? But anyway kudos to Cortez on the game winner.

Yep we were lucky to win. But I will take them anyway we can get them. :starspin

My thoughts on the game.

Marion barber ran well and blocked extremly well. the only gripe i have with barber is on that third and one near giants 20 he needs to stop dancing around and just hit the hole like his other runs. he got stopped and we had to settle for a fg.

you can see with the pressure wares creates that glover and some of the other guys are getting freed up to create more pressure .

If bledsoe had time on that int he threw , he had terry glenn streaking across the field, i dont doubt that pass would of went for six right down the middle.

Patrick crayton is a great blocker. i saw him take down there defensive end single handed with a nice block. the guy blocks great, runs with the ball great, best hands on the team, he will be missed.

it seems to me flozell got hurt in the first quarter and wasnt the same after that when he was brought back in.

Eli Manning still has ways to go as an nfl qb. you can see his first read is burress or shockey, if his first read isnt open he seems to struggle still.

but hes definatly improving and getting better. but i dont see the giants any better then 8-8

I agree on this...Manning looks like a talented young QB with a ways to go yet. I also see them at 8-8.

MANY of you state AL Johnson is getting BULL RUSHED.

Al Johnson again played the best of the Dallas offensive linemen, if he blew any assignments other than the holding when he tripped they sure weren't obvious. Some could say he wasn't calling the blitz right but the fact is New York was timing their blitzes well at the snap of the ball and blocking assignments couldn't have been changed anyway.

If the rest of the offensive line were playing as consistently as Al Johnson is we wouldn't be having any problems.

New York will struggle against the elite teams that can bring a pass rush, Dallas Cowboys included. An interesting test will be Washington with its bend-don't-break style of defense.

I agree, if bledsoe was not HIT, that throw would have been a TD..thank MARCO for that!

also, WARE impressed me and the fact we were moving him from side to side.

ALSO, al Singleton is uselss...we need to get rid of him..he adds nothing

ya Rivera blew that one play, Glenn would have definitely had a TD really angered me. i agree about al though, i havent even seen him make a play at all all season.

crucial INT against San Fran and I've seen him have a few big tackles as well

isn't a game changer but like Parcells says, he doesn't miss his assignments

I support him, but both he and Fujita so far look to be liabilities in the run game IMO.

MRTRIPOD,

Losing Crayton and Adams are both tough losses. However, let's give Peerless Price a chance to see if he can bring gamebreaking ability like he used to do.

Also, I cannot help but believe that Marco Rivera is still having difficulties with his injuries he was nursing in camp. An All-Pro guard just doesn't have a dropoff like he has had without something else bothering him.

How about old father time? And Al Johnson is getting blowed up the middle as well they are just alternating weeks. :wink2:
