I brought him up in a thread about Aldon Smith but didnt know too much about him. He has really torn up the combine.

I understand that he has a couple of positive tests for drugs and he was actually suspended from the team in 2009. Google Houston and Georgia and suspended from team and you should get a hit or, if you have premium Draft Scout, I think that there is a write up there as well. The guy has skills and he played well in the 34 last year at Georgia but he has some things in his background that might be holding him back from the upper echelon of the players you frequently here as top picks.

Yeah, surprisingly there isn't many articles at all on it when you search drug use etc. But what I found was that he was suspended 2 games his sophomore year for an "undisclosed violation of team rules."

What kind of drugs did you hear about? Are we talking steroids, weed, etc.?

No, Mark Richt did not site exactly what type of violations these were. Only that they were Substance Abuse violations. I know that Schlabach of ESPN, the Washington Post and the Orlando Sentinel all ran stories on it but none of them were specific on what it actually was. Sorry L&L.

He's huge for OLB at 270 something pounds...............but the drugs bother me any one know about Jimmy Smith I heard he failed a drug test, what was it?

Yeah, but he still impressed with his speed and athletic ability. Think Lamarr Woodley, Adalius Thomas etc as far as weight goes. I think Houston can be a player. Odds are, if it was a two game suspension it was something minor. Possibly marijuana.

According to Gary Miller, Smith wrote off those issues as "youthful mistakes [during] freshman year." However, teams have asked him about it over the last several days. Smith, it turns out, had been charged twice for possessing alcohol as a minor and had a positive drug test.

Alcohol as a minor, in college? No way.... jeez.

I assume if they just say positive drug test, it can be filed under marijuana; but that is purely speculation. And, if it is marijuana, i couldn't care less. Both guys look to be players.
