He looks like he is a sleeper important pick. He seems to have a motor and he looks big. He looks like he might make the team.

So far from what we’ve seen in camp and preseason, he’s going to be a pretty decent role player for Dallas with the potential to be a starter at some point.

Pretty pleased with this pick so far.

Was it the 80 degree day in LA or what Mazi looked gassed after awhile . He made one nice play where he shed the block to make the tackle at the line for no gain.

As far as Carl Davis I don’t think Dallas has the depth to cut him . Rotational with Smith & Rogers . OSA being counted on heavily .

Broaddus has mentioned watching practice that Mazi's endurance is terrible. While he will flash the occasional good/great play, his effort over a series of downs is poor. Seems like a guy you play for 2 plays at a time and get him off the field ASAP. I never saw what they like in Carl Davis. Get Linval Joseph in here for 15 snaps/game.

His conditioning issue is due to having shoulder surgery in the offseason.

Davis is like 330 pounds, a big boy at DT. The only one we have really. Only way hes getting cut is if we have his replacement ready. As far as I can tell, we do not. I like Rogers alot btw. But hes a rookie.

They will keep Rogers because he is a draft pick. They like keeping all their draft picks, regardless of their play. It is what they do.
However, I can see him earning a roster spot. Mainly due to lack of depth. He needs more snaps, as does Mazi. Who I think did decent overall.
Seemed like they contained the run better than I thought they would.

Other than the pick, Scott had a poor game. He can be replaced, however since the gave up a pick to trade up for him, they will keep him as well.

Yes he's a rookie but he's a big dude that played in the SEC on a team that favors defense first.

In my opinion it's an uncomplicated position I know it's a transition could be a big leap but if all you have to do is say hey big dude go stand up those two gaps or just hold your ground look for the running back if he's already was better in college then say Smith then maybe his transition will be less so everyone around here thinks these guys are supposed to be like three texts and they're not..Mazi IMHO was misused and rogers and Mazi can be decent sub group. BTW I can't remember his name, but they brought that dude over late you know the last three players they added like 10 days ago, I thought a defensive tackle was in there...

so, we might see him the next game..

First, he could still work on cardio regardless of the shoulder.
