Kaepernick benched; Gabbert named starter

When you're being benched for Blaine friggin Gabbert, you know things have gone off the rails.

I think I can predict his future.

Kaep will be starting again before the season is over. No way Gabbert shows anything that makes them feel like this was a good decision. I mean he deserved to be benched, but you could find a guy off the street who's better than Gabbert.

Like Weeden or Cassel?

You do not bench a healthy entrenched starting QB and go back to him. 49ers should try to trade Kaepernick. Even if they do not get much in return they can dump the salary.

I am first! Give a first round pick to get Kaepernick as our backup!

What do I win?

Nobody is going to trade for that contract.

Dude's a piss poor passer but he throws really hard...oooh's and ahhhh's as the ball sails out of bounds. 49er's would be wise to cut him after this season.

Now THAT is a team that really is a mess.

As fast as the 49ers have fallen flat, I would have to say that it's slowly happening in California. The Raiders are slowly picking themselves off the mat, while the 49ers are completely flawed, from the very top, down to it's players.

I don't think I've seen a team go from almost elite, to a dumpster fire in such a short period of time.

The Raiders are on a noticeable ascend, and the Niners are in a 100 mph free fall.

I'd say they hit the ground when the started Gabbert.
