SAINTS SIGN MR. VOWEL

Six years after playing for the XFL's San Francisco Demons, Kevin Kaesviharn is now a Saint.

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the New Orleans Saints have signed safety Kaesviharn to a four-year, $10 million contract.

The deal, per Schefter, includes $3 million in guaranteed money.

Kaesviharn also visited the Browns and the Titans. He spent six seasons with the Bengals, and amazingly was not arrested.

Good move for the Saints, they need to do something about Fred Thomas though.

Well there goes everyone's option for FS...

I think Dallas is satisfied with Pat Watkins.
Pat Watkins isn't the only option we have, I'll wait until after the draft to get a good idea where we're going there.

I still think Henry to FS is still a possibility, especially if we go CB early. Of course we could also draft Reggie Nelson and go that direction.

I surely hope so, but I have to say if Reggie Nelson is at our pick. I say get em. I love this player with a passion, fast and can play conerback, free safety and strong safety. So many ways you can use this guy. This guy knocked a tight end flat out.

Im a Pat Watkins fan, love his size and what he brings to the table. Maybe now Keith Davis becomes a special teams player full-time and if someone goes down at free safety he'll get worked in with some playing time.

I do want to keep Keith Davis.

I see us drafting Aaron Ross CB Texas(or the best cb) and moving Henry to FS. Henry will play out his contract and Watkins will take over the FS position

How many safeties does one team need?
My thoughts exactly...

Seems like the Saints have signed or drafted just about every FS I have been interested in over the past couple of years.

Good, I didnt want this guy anyway. I would like Landry, Nelson, or stick with Watkins, the latter the most likely to happen.

With a name like Kaesviharn you know his contract included 120 lbs of lutefisk per year.
