If Kia Forbath was on "Reserve Non-Football Injury" list, how was he able to kick last night?

Edit: 86 that. They said he kicked last night on TV, but the stats don't show it. Maybe they were mistaken with Rayner.

The nfl.com game tracker had him listed as missing a kick

I thought he had the first kick, (Bailey the second) but they (NFL.com Game Analyze) now shows Rayner missing two kicks instead of just the squibbed kick.

My kicking idea:

Graham and Rayner cost about $900K and $750K minimum salary respectively.

If either of these guys are on the Day One roster, we will owe them their ENTIRE SEASON of salary whether we cut them later or not. They both are "vested."

Why not ...

1. Sign Bailey (cheapest option) at maybe $375K for the first game. Or Buehler. Either one. After first few games, re-evaluate.

2. If either sucks, we can sign one of the above guys on a week-by-week basis. If they are still available.

3. If Forbath can outkick our whoever-our-dude-is in practice starting week seven, keep Forbath.

He and Rayner are both #2 so the stat people just made a mistake. The #2 that kicked last night was Rayner.

Btw...I think Rayner's 36yd..."attempt" is STILL pulling to the left. That's how bad of a kick it was.

A blackhole formed on the left side of the goal post and sucked the football in. :laugh2:

At least the kick was launched at 90 degrees like Roy McAvoy's shanks issue in Tin Cup. :laugh2:

I expect Forbath is here until he's healthy -- we'll then give him a look and likelt try to get him on the PS
