A handful of posters(meaning me) felt the DL wasn't going to be a problem

DLawrence was healthy, Irving really shined last year, TCrawford got consistent pressure, Collins was a nice find at the 3T, Taco was a good draft pick

Guys like Thornton, Paea, Mayowa, DMoore have shown to be replaceable and plug and play

Well you got it half right.

Taco was a good draft pick? Based on what exactly?

Having a functional brain

See this is the problem I have with posters like you. Taco does absolutely nothing for 7 weeks. Barely even registers a tackle. He gets thrown around like a rag doll all season long. His snap count decreases for the most part as the season goes along. Then all of a sudden he gets his first sack and jokers like you come out and start declaring what a great draft pick he was. LOL

Hilarious to say the least. Mindless would be more like it.

You just make stuff up........ his snap was limited until 2 weeks ago

He finally started to get some regular snaps and he finally started to get some regular pressure

But if you knew anything about football you would know that meaningful criticisms of draft picks can't come for a couple seasons...... it was a good pick because he was the best DE left at our draft spot and it was better to get him and Chito than Adoree Jackson and a worse DE

LOL.......ok so you cant judge a draft pick for a couple years yet you are already claiming he is a good pick. I guess that makes sense to ONLY you.

And so far this season Taco has been an absolute bomb. His snap counts have gone down consistently. He has been thrown around like a high school kid. Your analysis is 100% complete nonsense.

FACTS!!!!

Question: Why isn't Taco Charlton seeing the field? The young man has been invisible.

Scales: Taco Charlton has three tackles through five games. He's seeing the field as part of a rotation, he's just not making an impact. Entering Sunday's game, he was on the field for 36 percent of defensive snaps through the first three weeks.

In the box score from Sunday's loss to the Packers, he was not credited with a tackle (the statistic could change when we get results of coaches' film). Even if he gets an assist, it's still a very slow start for a first-round pick through the first five games of a season.

The team knew they would have to be patient with him and develop him, but you need a bigger impact from a first-rounder, especially when the biggest question mark for your defense over the past few years has been pass rush.

He's not seeing as much of the field as other rookies in his draft class because he hasn't earned the playing time. It's very simple. Both head coach Jason Garrett and defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli have been blunt when asked about Taco's production. They say they need to see more from him. To which Cowboys Nation adds an "amen." He needs to show the coaches more to earn additional snaps in the rotation on game day.

Here is another nice article topic on Soft Taco:

4 rookies who looked as bad as Cowboys' Taco Charlton before excelling

Taco got a Sack and Heath got a pick on the following play. You know what that is?

Proof of a benevolent God who reads this Forum. Want further proof? He also knocked Andy Reid down with his own player.

LOL.

Anyone have the right prayer to get our benevolent God to do something about Goodell?

Keep hating the Cowboys .....it works for you

Damontre Moore and Irving missed the first games so he had more snaps as a green rookie

It was the last 3 weeks he started to play better.....go figure for a rookie

Decisions are good or bad based on the info at the time......not some small sample size 20/20 hindsight snapshot...... Taco was a good draft pick.....period

DE's take time. Taco is no exception. DLawerence didn't do much he's rookie year.

Love the Cowboys. Certainly more then some happy go lucky homer that loves losing. Taco thus far has been a total and complete bomb. Facts are stubborn things. No homer logic can make that different for any of us.

Definitely takes time. Some should have remembered that when they were claiming he would be a difference maker this year. But nothing can change the fact he has looked terrible. No harm in admitting it either. A couple of DE's are already looking quite good however.
