This game is what the playoffs will look like. It will be tough. It will be physical. It will be a close score. And we will win.

I know you won’t believe it when I say it, but Dak Prescott is a rookie. Remember? Yes, this is post #34,298,468 saying this is the best season a rookie QB has ever had.

Byron Jones is money. People wonder why this defense is better than the talent on the field. Its guys like Byron Jones and Sean Lee, which a heaping helping of Rod Marinelli added in.

Mayowa’s sack was just one play but it showed why he they gambled on signing him. Unfortunately we have had exactly one of those plays for 4 million bucks.

Doug Free’s season has gone from inconsistent to solid and back to inconsistent. I thought he was gone next year, then thought he would be back. I’m back to “gone”.

Anthony Brown was very solid for a rookie, give him an offseason of studying film and he will be a solid #2 CB or a very good #3. I think Claiborne comes back on another one year deal. Adding a high draft pick to Claiborne, Scandrick and Brown will make it a good (not great) group. It also obviously means Carr takes a low contract next year or moves on.

Second year LB Damien Wilson is getting better by the game. A LB group of Sean Lee, Jaylon Smith and Wilson next year will be very good, but even better will be the level of quality depth in Hitchens, Nzeocha and Wilbur.

Just to make sure this post PO’s some people, this game showed Zeke is the engine of this offense. When he was stopped we did nothing. That isn’t a knock on Dak because the Vikings secondary is so solid, but the key is Zeke.

Jason Witten didn’t have a catch and broke his streak, but in typical fashion he sealed the win with a catch on the onside kick. Class person and class player, his HOF spot is well deserved.

All the press is about the final play on the two point conversion. There are a lot of press quotes about Thornton’s hand hitting Bradford’s helmet and the non-call. Asked for comment on the play, Dallas WR Cole Beasley said “I didn’t see a thing”

Count me in as one who wants to have Free and Carr replaced next year. Brown is developing into a good corner and should only get better. But we do need to get some more speed and talent at DE. These guys run like they're wearing leaded boots. And unfortunately, Witten's replacement is still not on the roster.

All in all, good victory considering the Vikings, Commanders, Ravens and Steelers have all played desperate and lights out trying to get into the playoff picture. And the Boys beat them all.

I don't think Carr is particularly good, but neither do I think he's particularly bad. Put a decent pass rush in front of him, and he'd look a whole lot better. That said, I think we could replace him easily if necessary. But the main thing is pass rush and front 7 in general.

He had one very early in the season IIRC.

Second year LB Damien Wilson is getting better by the game.
I am seeing that too, and for him to develop is huge going forward.

People are overlooking the fact that the Vikes are 6th in the league in total defense and they are getting paid too.

Awesome quote with the pic.

Brown is already better than Carr, IMO. He might be better than Scandrick. Shockingly, Claiborne is the best CB on the team when healthy. Sadly he is rarely healthy.

Well, I really hope the playoffs feature fewer turnovers, almost turnovers, drive killing penalties and mental mistakes.

People are overlooking the fact that the Vikes are 6th in the league in total defense and they are getting paid too.

Mayowa had two sacks earlier but one was a multiple pressure collapsing pocket and the other was a pure coverage sack that anyone could have made. My point on this play is that it was the first sack of pressure off the edge, which is why they signed him.

On the Vikings Defense, I'm not ignoring how good they are. They are excellent. But the flip side is that we scored 17 points and 7 was purely about a turnover inside the 10 and the other was purely about the one big play we had in a bomb to Dez.

Gave you a "like" before I even finished reading it. Well done!

Think your spot on, would add a couple of thoughts. Not ready to put a ceiling on Brown, a lot of football left against the best receivers in the league from here on out. If he goes through that crucible as well as he has to date, what would we say then? I think this game gives more impetus to Prescott as driving the boat. We don't win it without him.

I loved this win because we played a ballin' defense that was on their A game. Dallas looked sloppy but then you add the pressure from that defense - and they still found away to make enough plays to win.

These are the types of games Seattle has always seem to come out ahead in the last few years. This is what Sb caliber teams do.

They are one of the luckiest teams I've ever seen. They always have the ball bounce their way besides the last play of the Super Bowl. But even to get down there, that catch that Kearse had was a joke. It's unreal how many breaks they get.

Most teams get bounces, but are you keeping the game close enough for those bounces to matter? The body of work decides the impact of the bounces.

Your analysis are always spot on Kaiser and that was a heck of a game and a gritty win last night.

I get what you're saying. But the football shape lends itself to 50/50 bounces. When more of those bounces go your way seemingly as Seattle constantly gets, it seems a bit much is all.

I hate that team.

Demarcus Lawrence had 9 pressures last night. I didn't know that.

Good pick up.

Broaddus said today that D Law was the MVP of the game and nobody else on the field was even close.

When he reviewed that tape he said Lawrence had 9 pressures and almost all of them forced Bradford into hurried or bad decisions. He also says it's disgraceful how the only takeaway from the game on an official NFL stat sheet is 0 sacks when that one player had the most to do with the outcome than any other player.

Pretty strong words but it sounds like from the tape he was outstanding.

The film may prove me wrong but this was Zeke's 2nd worst game this year. He looked undisciplined trying to bounce everything outside, like he lost faith in his blocking or didn't want to take hard shots. He also drew a flag in pass protection as I recall. Players have ups and downs, especially rookies, so I'm not too concerned. I'm glad they have extra time to watch and learn this week.

This is a very good point and worthy of more attention.

I noticed this as well, it seemed to me he wasn't as patient as usual, and made the wrong cut more often than usual.
