Could we be interested since he was released by Oakland. Plays OLB in the 3-4 and has 42 sacks over six years. He is 28. Seems like he could be an upgrade to Spencer.

He also played a year under Rob Ryan in 2009 with the Browns. So, he knows the system as well as Brodney Pool.

Bring him in if Ryan likes him, and start a price war between him and Spencer. I like Spencer more but I don't like paying him 8.8 this year

Rob Ryan traded him in CLE, tells me he thinks as much about him as Jerry does Bill Parcells.

DC's don't make trades

You dont think he had a say in it?

In Cleveland? Yes, because they have a "real" GM.

In Dallas? No, we never get input from our coaches regarding personnel decisions. It's just Jerry Jones and a roulette wheel.

I think he would be too expensive but I like him more than I like Spencer, especially with Spencer's price at 8.8 million. I don't see it but I would love for a swap.

Boy are you misinformed.

Thank You.

And even if they did trade him, so what?

What does that mean?

What if they were wrong in trading him?

It's not like Cleveland is the model franchise where you can say they make all these fantastic moves.

He's gonna be cut.

I want the guy. He'd be an upgrade at rushing the passer and from what I have seen he's a high character player.

Also, what if he was traded so they could get something in return for him instead of watching him walk the following year?

Thanks for saying this, Hoof.

There's more than one reason to trade a guy. One is, certainly, that you just don't think he can play...or at least not in your system. Another is that you know from conversations with their agents that they are not planning to return, and you want to get something for them (rather than chance that you'll get a random compensatory pick in the next draft). It happens in the NBA all the time, as well as the MLB.

Rob could have been standing on the table to keep the guy and been overruled by the GM. So let's just wait and see. If that is the case, Stephen and JJ will be talking to Wimbley's agent fairly shortly. If not, there will be no interest, and we'll know.
