So I know a lot of people hate Kanye, I don't count myself among them although he acts like quite the idiot from time to time. I still think he's a phenomenal talent and artist and in the end that's what I judge him on since I'm not trying to invite him over for dinner or anything.
That said, I finally got to check out his video for his single "Power", and being a bit of a geek for mythology and symbolism (part of the reason I became obsessed with Lost), I think it's pretty damn great.

Another interesting thing is while the video is under 2 minutes, the actual song itself is nearly 5 minutes long. Not a lot of musicians would edit their own work down like that.
The video is directed by visual artist Marco Brambilla, who also created this:

and this for the Standard Hotel here in New York (which is what Kanye saw and made him contact Brambilla for the Power video). Brambilla also directed Demolition Man, so that gets him an A in my book.
