This guy just made my pet cat list. He missed most of the 2015 season due to a non-contact knee injury, but somehow still managed 5 interceptions in 4 games! He is a homing missile when he comes up to play the ball and has tremendous instincts when the ball is in the air. Joseph may have just replaced Cash as my favorite somewhat under the radar safety option. This is a kid we could get mid-late rounds who otherwise would have probably been a 2nd round pick.

Want some hyperbole? He looks like Ed Reed Jr. to me.

3 of those interceptions came in one game against Georgia Southern, but yes I agree the kid is a beast who's gotten better each season. He has 9 career interceptions, but I'm even more impressed with the 7 career forced fumbles. He will light you up too. I'm wondering how far his injury will drop him. I'd love to have him with one of those 4th round picks, but I don't think he makes it out of the 3rd.

I am not sure how far it will drop him either. It happened in the first half of the season so he could potentially make it back for camp. If you want the kid, I think you have to grab him in the 3rd. He might make it to the fourth, but I wouldn't bank on it. It's too bad we can't trade those comp picks this year.

It's also worth noting his injury was operated on by the legendary Dr. James Andrews. He couldn't possibly have a better surgeon.

Is his knee fixed?

He was operated on by the world famous surgeon, Dr. James Andrews. It was a torn ACL, so no, it's obviously not healed completely, but I'd say with 100% certainty it's fixed. With most world class athletes recovering in around 6 months, I think it's safe to say he'd be ready for camp, considering he was operated on in October.

I like it then. I have been looking for a SS in the 3rd or 4th. He seems to fit the bill. Nice options at SS this year. Mostly I have been worried about not being able to get both a SS and a CB when most of them I like should be gone by the 3rd. It would be especially awesome if he made it to the 4th.

He could definitely play SS for us, but he also has a lot of experience as a single high safety. He has great range and instincts. I would be adverse to him in single high when Jones drops into the box to cover slot/TE.

That makes him even more valuable to me. Sounds like a guy that plays the pass like a FS and plays the run like a SS. Jayron Kearse is another one I like.

Yup, I had Cash and Kearse as my guys in the second and third, but I honestly like Joseph better than both now. If you haven't already, you should check out Cash from Duke. He is more of a typical modern SS, but he has pretty good range and experience covering TE's too.

Second favorite SS prospect behind Cravens for me. His height may be my only concern

Yes Cash is one of them. Vonn Bell too. Su'a Cravens as well. Good options in the 2nd. Joseph Hopefully can be an option in the 3rd. Maybe even the early 4th with his knee injury. There is certainly no excuse for the team to trot out Church and Wilcox next year.

If Wilcox is on the damn roster next season it's an absolute inexcusable failure. He's an atrocious safety and did nothing when they tried him on special teams. He can't even get out of his own way.

I compare him more to Bob Sanders due to his size and hitting ability. He's a guy I really like. Comes to play.

Ed Reed was 5'11" and 215lbs, Joseph is 5'11" 200. Reed was also a big time hitter, if you recall. I loved Sanders, I just don't want to give Joseph that jinx. He could have been an all-time great if he'd have been able to stay healthy.

I think Jospeh is superior to Sanders in coverage. He has the range to play single high and do it very well.

Looking up highlights up Cravens, who looks damn good might I add, just reminded me how much I absolutely hate Polamalu... Friggin youtube!

Only worry about his size and how he hold up again NFL size. May not be durable if he doesn't choose his spot to take shots. But I do like how he plays with reckless abandon.
