The reason we won last week - Keyshawn drops a TD pass that would have put a nail in our coffin.

This week, we have a chance to bury the Redksins, and TO drops a pass. He must have been planning on endzone penalty celebration.

Well, basically we won last week when we should have lost, and this one we let slip away.

We still can't catch a break.

It would be nice to win a game we are not supposed to win and actually win the ones are supposed to win. When was the last time a kicker missed a FG and we win the game? It seems to happen a lot to the Giants, Eagles, Commanders, etc.

TO drops a lot of passes. He doesn't concentrate on every play. The 49ers game which he became "TO" against the packers, he dropped more than 5 passes. If he caught the previous throws, he would never have caught that game winner in the playoffs. One interesting thing, Romo actually threw deep...more than 30 yards.

Romo does seem to have enough arm...great accuracy...good touch...but timing on the deep balls still seem to need work.

Does anyone know how far he threw that ball to TO?

I'm guessing around 50 yards at least

I wonder if Terry Glenn would have caught the long one from Romo if he was 100%. Something lost in this game - Crayton made some plays. I don't get him, he catches everything, but it seems like he is jogging out there. I know he is running fast, but I don't see that "sprint" speed.

Maybe Crayton has that deceptive speed where he doesn't look like he's going that fast. He does get separation so he must not be going that slow.

Surely you're not blaming Romo for that incompletion here are you? The ball hit T.O. perfectly in stide and slid through his outstretched arms. It was a sure TD, ball was right where it needed to be, right on the money. Is that you T.O.? Are you posing on this site? Cause if it's not T.O. than it must be Rosenhaus. Maybe if T.O. practiced more he would have chemistry with the QBs, he dropped quite a few when Bledsoe was the starter as well. Maybe its because I'm watching more of him now that he's on the cowboys, but I don't remember T.O. ever dropping this many catchable balls.

Then he celebrates his TD by getting a 15 yard penalty for using the ball as a damn pillow, miming sleeping through a meeting. You think Parcells likes that? An unidentified sleeping disorder sounds like a lame excuse for sleeping through a meeting. Getting a 15 yard penalty for mimicking sleeping through a meeting is stupid. Stupid players make stupid plays.

That would be like blaming Roy for Portis' touchdown run, wouldn't it?

He just needs more air under his deep passes. Let the receiver make a play on the ball instead of having to race just to reach the ball.

Great observation. I thought the same thing. With time the chemistry will build, and timing will develop.

Hopefully either Owens or Glenn will just tell him not to throw a flat ball on the deep passes -- just hang it up there and let the receiver adjust to it.

I give credit where credit is due. But certainly that isnt something I hope happens.

I am hoping for bust after bust, of course. The more flat balls the better as far as I am concerned. ;)

Honestly Adam, the last thing I care about on deep passes is how much air they have on them as long as they hit the receiver in the hands. TO's ball was completely catchable and there was nothing on the velocity of the ball that made it any less difficult to catch. Similarly, the throw to Gleen that was just off his fingertips was barely off (by six inches). Crayton didn't seem to have a problem catching that 40 yard sideline ball thrown to him which was put on the money.

Crayton doesn't have great speed so he has to run his routes in ways that fool the defenders. Crayton was also a QB in college and those guys have a tendancy to read coverages much better than normal WR's.

He is also known for his ability to shoot his arms out at the very last second and catch the ball with his unbelievably great hands.

This fools the defenders since they like to react when most WR's turn or put their hands up way before the ball gets there, he pops them out at the last second and "plucks" the ball out of the air suprising just about everyone offense and defense.

You have to have a certain amount of trust with Crayton and he is a playmaker for sure. He is also pretty big so he has that Keyshawn-esque type ability to put his body in between the ball and the defender and doesn't really need to be wide open.

He is slow that is a fact but he has some other great abilities that give him some real advantages.
