KC game this year=Rams game last year

The Dallas Cowboys are going to beat the Kansas City Chiefs by at least 2 touchdowns, there is no question in my mind it won't happen.

If they don't beat them by 2 touchdowns, they will at least come out with a win.

The Dallas Cowboys are still a decent football team, they just aren't elite.

yeah, you are so right on and I hate to think that ...it will be like Armagedon if we lose this game and than have 2 weeks to rationalize it, complain about the bad calls etc...and all the other stuff that will come out of the woodwork--the chants will start--"fire the coach, get a new OC, find a receiver off the waiver wire, get a new safety to replace the 10th one we have gone through"

We aren't losing to the Chiefs.

Now maybe if we'd won last week, you'd have the classic trap game situation where we're riding high and overlook them. But we know we have to win this game, and they're a bad team. Haley might be close to losing that team even this early... He has a lot of Mangini in him.

The real concern as far as this board goes is that we win, but not "convincing" enough for some people... And they scream and rue just like we had lost.

Bob Sturm got this exactly right even before the Denver game: If we lose this game (vs. Denver), it will be three weeks of despair and anger because, well, no one cares about the Chiefs and then you have the bye week. He has the mentality of most Cowboys fans down pat.

thats true, losing to denver like many of us said last week blows the whole first half of this season. Now win or lose against the chiefs, and Yes I think we will find a way to lose, the reaction is going to be the same.

and I think we will be a dog against atlanta at home on the 25th.

Losing to denver sets us back and really messes with the psyche of this team, that is why after the game bradie james says we dont know how to do it and brooking who has never been here before is talking about hard work and not panicking. He doesnt realize the guys who have been here already are panicked, most likely the head coach is the biggest one.

this team isnt built to handle adversity. The only positive is that at least this year they will say the right things and not throw each other under the bus, doesnt mean they can handle it to me though.

KC has no offensive or defensive line. The have a pair of average LB's. They have a couple of young secondary players that are OK. They have a RB that can not get outside and has lost several steps. Their best WR is a bit of a problem child that drops easy catches. Cassell looks horrible. Those are their best players. The rest would not make any other NFL squad. There is no way we lose this game.

I said the same thing before last years Rams game. This "team" is is capable of losing to anyone.

It is a lose/lose situation Chocolate Lab. If we lose the season is over and the ugliness in Dallas turns even nastier. If we win convincingly...well its just the Chiefs. If we struggle and win it will be almost as bad as a loss the teeth gnashing, complaining, and hand wringing will continue.

But the lions game in 06, the raiders game in 05.

I think we are going to lose. I think this team is at a crossroads, they are either going to fight through this and approach this game with the importance it holds or they are going to do the usual, score early dissapear for the rest of the game till the final minute and blow it.

I think we are going to blow it and this thing will bottom out.

That staff in KC is probably thinking we got these guys at the right time and they know our team. MOst of them were here at one point and the rest were in Arizona last year when they beat us.

I am fully prepared for the meltdown and I expect it. The only question in my mind is what is the reaction to it?

Anything is worth a try. Haley's wife got a rat in her salad here in Dallas in 06 so maybe he would be used to those things though!~!!!!!!!!

I can see it already...we are probably figuring this game is a 'gimme' like we did last year against the winless Rams and their brand new coach Jim Haslett and we blew that one
better play KC like they are the defending SB champs, bad enough most teams use us as a measuring stick on how good they are and usually beat us

If Romo plays Sunday like Johnson played last year then we have a REALLY BAD problem
