How Pittsburgh won a Super Bowl last year is still a mystery to me. They don't run the football anymore. Ben Roethlisberger is the most sacked player in the league at the quarterback position. The Steelers struggles this year haven't surprised me. Usually not running the ball and having upwards of 30 passing attempts weekly while giving up the most sacks in the league is a recipe for disaster. Their luck has simply run out.

They didn't give up many sacks in the playoffs last year. Their porous offensive line was suddenly able to shut down pass rushers in the post season. The Steelers do seem to get all the calls, so maybe the refs allowed a lot of holding in the playoffs. I don't know, but they seemed to play differently than they did during the regular season when Big Ben was getting pummeled every game.

I think it's pretty safe to say that they won't be defending that title this year or representing the AFC in the Super Bowl.

The Colts are better. The Bengals are better. The Patriots are probably better, too. We'll see about Baltimore this coming weekend.

It's really amazing how big a difference Troy Palomalo (sp?) makes to that team.

When he's out they're a very average defense, no doubt about it.

Pitt won last year because they had a great defense and Rothlisberger can make some good throws when he needs to. But if you put Romo(or a ton of other QBs) in Pittsburgh they win the SB last year because of the talent around them and that defense.

BRIDGEVILLE, Pa. (AP) -- Police say a western Pennsylvania man told them he kicked his girlfriend's puppy to death because he was upset that the pit bull wouldn't behave before the start of the Pittsburgh Steelers game.
Twenty-two-year-old William Woodson, of Bridgeville, remained jailed Monday on a charge of animal cruelty.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that a witness told police that Woodson was kicking the dog down the street shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday, which is when the football game began. Police say Woodson was supposed to be taking the pit bull for a walk, but the animal resisted. By the time police arrived, the puppy was dead.
Police say Woodson didn't like the dog and was upset that his live-in girlfriend bought it.
Online court records don't list an attorney for Woodson.

Geez, if that was before the game I would not want to be around this guy after the game.
