Lamar Hunt, the SMU alum, Kansas City Chiefs owner, founder of the AFL and owner of FC Dallas, is in a Dallas hospital.

Hunt is one of the nicest men you will meet in sports.

The Chiefs say the hospital stay is not life threatening.

The Kansas City Star reported Hunt is in a hospital with a partially collapsed lung.

Hunt, 74, has missed three games this season, including yesterday's Thanksgiving Night victory over Denver, according to the K.C. Star.

Rumor has it that he listened to the game via telephone. He couldn't watch it since Time Warner in Dallas doesn't carry NFL Network.

He's been the biggest proponent of taking the T-day game away from the Cowboys, hence the NFL gave him a T-day night game at Arrowhead to make him happy.

IMO, the Chiefs and Lions can't match Dallas as hosts for the T-day game.

Hope he's OK it's a shame when bad things happen close to the holidays.

My mom died just before the holidays 2 years ago. I'll put in a prayer for him.
