•CHIEFS-COWBOYS ON OPENING DAY? The NFL announced the nationally televised games from the opening weekend of the season. Neither the Chiefs nor the Cowboys are involved, so it’s possible their game could be played on opening weekend.

Denver is another possible opponent for the Chiefs that weekend. The league is looking to promote the 50th season since the launch of the old AFL. The league matched two original AFL franchises, the Bills and Patriots, in one opening weekend game and two more, the Chargers and the Raiders, in another.

that would be fun. I really want to go to KC for the game there this year.

probably wont happen though.

They concluded this simply because we weren't named in any of the nationally televised games?

They must be trying to get the attention of our many fans in KC.

So I guess we can expect the characters from the Road Warriors to and Thunder Dome to show up at the New Stadium this Thanksgiving

My exact reaction. Guess which game they are looking forward to?

The chiefs cowboys game in 05 is one of my favorite games. It was a terrific day outside, the atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic and the game was simply fabulous.

The throw bledsoe made to witten was perfect. I loved that game.

I remember that morning before leaving the house, steve young said we had no chance because you cant beat the chiefs 13-10 and we dont score enough points. Then we outscored them and played really well on offense.

How rob petitti blocked Jared allen i will never understand, but he did and we won.

:laugh2: They are like the DMN of Kansas. Their logo even has the cowboys star on it!

Its possible the cowboys play the chiefs first week its also possible we play.... redksins, giants, eagles, bucks, saints, or broncos.

I guess that will work for opening the regular season. Better than playing them when it's a bit colder, not that it's the same kind of cold as other places, but still.

We have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL. Jerry could look like a genius with this easy schedule.

Just three minutes ago, I was reading a post where you said we wouldn't win 7 games... now, you're saying "Jerry could look like a genius with this easy schedule"...

Are you bipolar, or something??

We do?
I don't think it's easy.

Here's my breakdown.
Tough game = T
Winnable but a good match up = GM
Easy game = E

HOME GAMES
New York Giants - T
Philadelphia Eagles- T
Washington Commanders -GM
Atlanta Falcons - GM
Carolina Panthers - T
Seattle Seahawks - E
Oakland Raiders - E
San Diego Chargers - T

AWAY GAMES
New York Giants- T
Philadelphia Eagles- T
Washington Commanders- T (Changed to tough-on the road)
New Orleans Saints- GM
Tampa Bay Buccaneers- GM
Green Bay Packers- GM
Denver Broncos- GM
Kansas City Chiefs- E

So 16 games I have:
-7 tough games (Hope to win 4 of 7)
-6 likely winnable games (Hope to win 4 of 6)
-3 Easy games (Hope to win all 3)

11 wins is what I could see ideally.

I'd be happy with either KC or Denver to start the season. Denver because of no Marshall and with the whole Cutler thing. KC because they are so young that I could see them as a team that struggles at the start but begins to put it together by the end of the year.

We've agreed to wear the throwback unis at KC, so we might as well get it out of the way early.

I don't think Seattle will be an easy game they had no receivers last season and where one of the few teams hit harder by injuries then us, They'll be a solid team if they can stay healthy

Will KC wear the old Dallas Texans unis (1960-62)? I always thought that uniform looked like the Arkansas Razorbacks' with the state of Texas on the helmet instead of the pig :laugh2:
