Does the NFL Draft committee take into account the system and situation the player would be returning to in college? I don't see how going back for his senior season would have improved his route-running. He wasn't asked to be precise in his route running in 3 years. Was the new head football coach going to change that? Sometimes that is stuff you have to work out on your own whether in college or the pros.

Oh, I agree. They have tape on him but remember we've seen other Baylor WRs and at least some run better routes. Keep in mind I'm only repeating what I've read. I'm never noticed the player although I've seen enough Baylor games to have seen him. You can't collect those numbers without some talent.

I agree with some others. There's something smoldering beneath the surface more than likely.

So, a 'real GM' guaranteed a player $45K and then cut him during the first week of minicamp, which is basically glorified walkthroughs. Maybe the 49ers needed the roster spot. Aldon Smith supposedly will be reinstated soon. Maybe GM Lynch is thinking the Raiders will surely release him and the 49ers will be ready to pounce.
