Probably another week for Kearse. Possibly 2 for McGovern since one never knows about high ankle sprain. Need to be cautious and not rush back from those. Especially with Peters getting in there, if he does this week.

Agreed. He stepped into that back-end role that Wilson normally plays while Wilson took over Kearse's spot and handled that very well.

True, we're holding the fort while their gone. These 2 injuries could linger if they rush back. Let's just bring them along slowly and carefully. I was pretty impressed with the offensive line on sunday and Donovan in the secondary. Been a while since we've had safety depth.

At training camp last year...I would never had said..."Kearse is important! Can't wait for him to get back." After his play last season, I think I'm allowed to now.

We are so freaking stacked at safety. Kearse crushed it at the Kam Chancellor safety-backer role last season. He gets injured, then Donovan Wilson jumps in and just starts hit-sticking RBs. Hooker's a legit FS, and Mukumaku looks good behind him.

We don't have stars at S, but we have 4 legit starters back there.

And then at CB. Brown, Diggs, and Lewis is an awesome starting trio. Joseph has starting level talent if he gets out of his own way. And Bland might be the answer at nickel. There's legit 5 CBs on this roster that I don't worry about.

So many DBs. So many pass rushers. This pass defense is the real deal.

Mix in receivers Noah Brown, Gallup, Washington, Cee Dee Lamb. and who might may....and this fan is already interested and confident as well.

We play 3 safeties a ton. Wilson played the majority of the defensive snaps in games he was healthy last year. There’s room for both and then some.

I don’t really remember much from the Patriots game until Kearse got hurt. They’re were people talking about cutting him before the season started which was mind boggling. He had an excellent game Sunday, even better than usual!
