Kearse listed as doubtful to play

This explains the Sheldrick Redwine call-up. He'll take Juanyeh Thomas' special teams snaps if Thomas has to play in place of Kearse.

Deepest position group on the team and he’s arguably the one playing the worse (relatively). He’s not been terrible, but he’s taken a step back with age it seems. Was never a fast guy but you can see Bell and Overshown in the offseason coming for his spot.

Muku and Thomas will hold it down.

To me he has been kind of absent anyways. One of the bigger disappointments for me this season. Got paid, fell off the map totally.

Wondering if he might have had a shot to play if this were a normal week, because we heard nothing about him getting hurt during the game Sunday.
Yeah I hope it’s not a ‘we can afford to not have him this week’ Arizona type situation.

He hasn’t had the best season but is still pretty key to the overall defense.

Can’t believe I’m actually saying this but we seem reasonably deep at safety.

I'd rather see Thomas take a crack at Kearse's role,
with Bell continued development and growth at hybrid LB.

missing Hankins during the week is a red flag. I hope he plays or we might get run on alot.
The Commanders don’t run the ball well, they are a pass dominant team with a bad defense. They need to score so they throw, we’ll be fine here.

Juanyeh Thomas gets to audition to be the SS next season when Kearse is gone. Maybe Thomas can be the surprise breakout player of the game.

We’ve got 2-3 guys who could replace him, next year he’s gone
