I kept hearing over and over about the Cowboys bright future cause of a young team.

The problem I feel with that thought is: that by time these players mature in the NFL they will become free agents and the Cowboys then become a farm team for the of the NFL teams that are aggressive in free agency.

Philly assembled a great team last year and this year the Rams assembled a great team through Free Agency to a point they practically have a pro-bowl team. Cowboys need to get away from the thought of draft mainly and concentrate on a one time assemblidge and see if they cant get a better season in.

I think FA with a good core of draft picks and a good QB is the new meta that is showing some good results.

I never thought this build through the draft only strategy was smart - or honest. I think the Cowboys claimed that was their strategy to deflect criticism over how they managed their cap. The Cowboys didn't sign players because they couldn't due to salary cap problems. There are a few teams with$100 million in cap space or close to it in 2019. I imagine they will be aggressive.

The Cowboys have no #1 draft pick this year. If they want to solve their problems, they may have to dip into free agency - and the place to start is DT.

I think they're sort of already on board with that. Cooper was a high priced trade, but that's similar to a high price FA acquisition.

The Cowboys are a young team. It is definitely a fact and possibly also a factor in what happened last night. The defense not being prepared is inexcusable.

The problem with Marinelli's defensive line scheme was exposed to the world last night ; no gap or edge integrity................

When your best defensive linemen are outside pass rushers , forcing a QB to step up when the interior linemen are still battling at the line of scrimmage is meaningless....................

It’s the latest excuse thrown out there by the head coach to buy more time for himself. It’s the “process” all over again phrased a little differently.
This is nothing new the organization has had several “young” good teams assembled where correlations have been made to the early 90s team. You’re right just another excuse or punch in the gut to all the true old timers to still be around to witness another fruitless year. It’s embarrassing.

Does anyone think that the Rams were scared of being beat by Dak Prescott through the air last night or were the Rams all in on stacking the line, Asking for a friend.

We’ve heard “it’s a young, inexperienced team” virtually every year since Garrett’s been HC.

It’s a favorite phrase of Jerry’s come extension time.
