Zeke - Do you think we will keep him or do you think we will cut him?
There isnt a GM in football that would keep Zeke under these circumstances.Zeke - Do you think we will keep him or do you think we will cut him?
What would the CAP hit look like assuming that's a $3m paid money....hasn't he got bonus to add on top? If there is then a post June cut, saving $10m against this year's CAP may be more advantageous.I bet the cowboys keep him for a reduced salary, probably $3m or so.
All we keep hearing from those close to the team (DC.Com staff) is that he will be cut.
Can't see it myself.
He should be cut, but it's the Cowboys, so he'll take a pay cut and make more money with the Cowboys next year than any team would offer him on the market.
Dropping his base to $3 would save about $8 vs the cap. What would the CAP hit look like assuming that's a $3m paid money....hasn't he got bonus to add on top? If there is then a post June cut, saving $10m against this year's CAP may be more advantageous.
Yep, that's how Jerry would see it....making his guy fit. I suppose if he were objective over it he'd see that when Pollard went down Zeke couldn't step up.Dropping his base to $3 would save about $8 vs the cap.
An extra $2m against the cap for a name to keep on the roster, and a short yardage specialist may be worth it to jerry idk. Just my guess and trying to think like jerry in doing so.
i think we'll make a thousand new threads asking this question and websites will run 10,000 more new "cowboys may cut zeke" stories as well.Zeke - Do you think we will keep him or do you think we will cut him?
We should cut him.Zeke - Do you think we will keep him or do you think we will cut him?
I think he will be released and signs with the Bucs ( following his RB coach ).Dropping his base to $3 would save about $8 vs the cap.

cut him. cut him. what benefit does he bring to the team? he is a shell of his former self. doesn't contribute and keeping him at that salary, to be a back up or worse yet, obligated to start him because of salary or history or whatever...even if he renegotiates.Zeke - Do you think we will keep him or do you think we will cut him?
well it depends on if he will take what stephen is offering. If he does that he will not be cut, if he doesnt , he will be cut.He should be cut, but it's the Cowboys, so he'll take a pay cut and make more money with the Cowboys next year than any team would offer him on the market.
Where's the poll?Zeke - Do you think we will keep him or do you think we will cut him?
