What I like about the win last night was how the Cowboys played with energy and intensity for the first time in 3 weeks, especially on defense. That's what has been missing.

The Cowboys are not as good as they looked last night and the Eagles are not as bad as they looked. Keep in mind how many players the Eagles were missing due to injury. Maybe that helps explain the Cowboys disaster against the Jets. But... I have been watching the Eagles play this year and I have been saying they don't look the same. Their offensive line is not playing as well and their defensive line is also not playing as well as they have in the past. Cox and Graham were almost silent last night. That is very unusual. The Eagles offensive line was not pushing the Cowboys around at all, not even Kerry Hyder. I am pretty sure DeSean Jackson would have made a difference since he always gets some big plays against Dallas. But even so, in the trenches the Cowboys won.

Overall the play calling was inspired, creative and unpredictable, with the exception of a couple of series. The defense ran some new blitzes and it made a big difference too. They got a little lucky on that deep ball to Agholor who had beaten Heath badly (how did that happen?) but overall the defense made a lot of good plays.

I don't want to get carried away with this win. I said last week if they lost to the Jets they would be the Eagles because that's the craziness of Dallas. But this was a must win game and a bog win. I hope it carries over to the rest of the season. They have the tough part of their schedule ahead.

The Eagles look very flawed this season. I’d be amazed if they win 8 games. The correct perspective is that we’ve beat 4 teams with losing records. We haven’t really done anything impressive this season so far.

The real test starts after the Giants game. 9-7 is a solid finish with the schedule we face down the stretch.

We've beat teams with losing records, and get embarrassed by teams with winning records .

I think we won't have a chance if we get to the post season . One & done as always .

Yup.
I'd like to see how they do against the vikes, bills, Pats, lions, bears and Rams.
If they're 4-2 against these teams, we may have something.

I understand the caution, but a lot of people have been slobbering all over the Eagles and Wentz in the media, NFL fandom, and on this board.

Had the Eagles won I'm sure we would be hearing how great Wentz is and how he willed his team to victory like he did against Green Bay.

Last night was a taste of what the Cowboys can do when they're healthy and scheme a good game instead of thinking they can just eat glue all week then run the ball on Sunday. Whether they continue to play like that is another story.

I expect we beat Bills, Lions, Bears. I also think the Rams game is very winnable. They arent the same team this year. They have no running game, which was our kryptonite last year. Thier offensive line can no longer run block. Anyhow my opinion changes weekly lol.

Not that I don't agree with the OP, but IMO when the defense plays well, good things happen. When the Dallas defensive front plays that well it will cause turnovers. Wentz dropped that snap because his internal clock was sped up. You can also not see some defenders because your process is sped up. I also don't remember too many time consuming drives by the Eagles. This prevents the Cowboys offense from getting stale on the sidelines.

Go sit down somewhere. This team is that good. They haven't played to their potential. They need to keep up the fire and remain healthy
There's that word again, "potential".
Almost ever team claims to have it.

We've had 'potential' for 9 years ,

& yet, somehow, we still can't make the conference game .

we've won a couple of wild card games , and thats it . we pack our bags .

Time to sell the Cowboys stock.

We know at their very core they are frauds. Especially with this guy coaching the team.

Yesterday win doesn't erase the past month and nothing will except post season success.

Yeah I don't agree with this take. We are still the 2nd most undisciplined team with the best offense in the NFL. That is why we are 4-3. The team is this good, when they show up they can win against anyone in my opinion. The Cowboys had players out there hurt, imagine if they were fully healthy. I can also play what ifs. Their offensive line was getting push on us, I constantly saw Collins getting pushed to the second level. Demarcus Lawrence finally got a sack on Lane Johnson, give credit where its due.

What if Dak didn't throw the INT in the second half. We couldve scored that drive and made it worse. Eagles got lucky we had that many penalties, if not, we would have easily laid 50 points on them.

We won and some still need to make excuses.
I get it, as I won't get sucked into the hype of this dominating win. Need to see it again coming out of the bye week.

But why feel the need to justify a win, it is almost like some are saying the Eagles lost it, we didn't win it.

Garrett teams usually come out of the bye week flat, struggle, at least in the 1st half. They need to come out in the NYG game like they did this game. Be consistent.

What I liked about last night was that we beat the Eagles. The fact that we embarrassed them was just icing on the cake.

Whew! For a minute there, my emotions were running away from me. I'm certainly glad you're here to warn me about celebrating too much. Otherwise, I might not be able to control myself.
