Or don't. Really doesn't matter to me. Everyone can be a fan however they want.
Agreed. I’m glad not every Cowboys fan thinks alike. How boring would this place be?

The “fan police” have always amused me on some level because they presume that their version of what it means to be a “fan” is both correct and enforceable.

I’ve never understood the notion that if you didn’t believe what the team’s leaders were selling, you weren’t a real fan. I don’t have a problem with any fan loving any and everything this team does. That’s all fine. Just don’t tell other fans that anything other than the “party line” isn’t acceptable.

I Have no problem and welcome constructive and intelligent criticisms along with insightful analysis . Look at the coaches film Hennesy King gave us on Collins and our OLine . That is a great contribution to the forum and should be what this forum is about .

Im sorry but the group of idiots that just sit back and scream Dak sucks try my last nerve . Yes they are fans and yes they deserve to express themselves in there most primitive way but I don't support it . It brings nothing to the forum but blind uninformed negativity .

We need more people that are willing to ignore hate and personal agenda while posting opinions backed up by facts and best yet TAPE . The tape tells the real story but dosent always coincide with the popular agenda .

It's not a question of being a fan or not. It's a question of being annoying or not.

Think about the real-world analogue of a person who does nothing but complain all the time, about anything, with or without reason. Loud, often wrong, unappreciative, unwilling or unable to evaluate what's happening to them realistically because they're so wrapped up in their woe-is-me routine. In real life, those people are pariahs. On the internet, they exist because the equivalent of not inviting them to do anything anymore because they're so annoying doesn't really exist.

I mean, I wish I could ban people from the site for being stupid, or pitiful, or annoying. But Reality won't let me do that, yet. We try to keep them in the Drama Zone, but there's a line of just-annoying-enough-to-stay-in-the-main-forums that we can't do much about.

So you get what we've got. Doesn't mean I have to like it, or defend somebody's right to act a fool just because they think it's a free-speech issue.

Well said!!!!

I mostly ignore those who complain incessantly. Not to be confused, however, w/ those who evaluate and see negatives and point them out, especially if those negatives are glaring and are keeping us from contention.

I love the critical posters. And I used to *love* the ignore feature. It's night and day around here when you can just block out those posters. I keep forgetting other people an do that, because I have to be able to read every single public post on the site. It makes things a lot tougher the week after a loss.

Great Post

Free Speech and just being purposely annoying are 2 different issues and unfortunately there is no way to ban the annoying from conversing . Sheesh there is a thread about Dak selling his signature cologne and donating the money to fight Cancer and the annoying all have there one line cheap shots going . Its sad

I appreciate this. We have more than a few really insightful fans with strong, smart and thoughtful opinions in a variety of flavors. And we also have some one flavor posters we all would rather not have to deal with that attack anyone who doesn’t see Cowboy fandom exactly as they do.

I don’t understand why anyone shows up at an opinion forum (the word “forum” is literally a place of a variety of opinions)gets offended by someone having a different opinion than theirs.
