Are we officially keeping track of the posters who've already written off the season because of these two preseason losses?

I was just seeing if we could get an official count on that...

I think this only applies to Cowboy fans ..... not a Commander fan in a poor disguise.

Just because people have a realistic view of this team dos not mean they don't want the team to win or that they are Commanders fans. There are some real dreamers on this site, and unfortunately this team has one for an owner. (I've heard him say it himself in an interview.)

I want nothing but the best for the Cowboys. I want them to hold all the records, not the the Pats nor Eagles, nor Packers, nor Steelers, nor any other team. I know that in itself is "unrealistic", but it's what i wish for.

So far this team has been a disappointment. They haven't won a PO game in 12 years, and so far don't show anything that convinces me they can do it. To the contrary, they have shown that they have an overinflated view of themselves, to the point that the other team is just going to walk off the field and let the Cowboys win, because they have such stellar press clippings.

As last year proved, other teams have no such notions. Do I expect mistakes in the preseason, of course. But lackluster play and a repeat of the mistakes that have plagued this team since 1995 are not acceptable for a Championship caliber team, IMHO.

Most of you guys think the Cowboys started in 1990. Well I've been here since 1960 when they opened for business. (Yes, I'm that old!) And I haven't given up on them yet. But sticking your head in the sand about the mistakes that are being made and accepting excuses for lack of effort and the corresponding results, or lack thereof, won't make you (or me) a better fan...

who's sticking their heads in the sand? sure, we played a very vanilla defense last game and didn't actually have a game plan. the 1st team offense and defense were very stout against San Diego. one bad game in a stadium with thin air that we aren't used to against a team that's not even in our division doesn't mean we're going to have a bad season.

Well, let's hope we don't have to play Denver in the Super Bowl!...

You sure the heck won't find me in that equation. I was certainly pissed off about last night, hearing (not able to watch) how we were sucking on the field on both offense and defense.

That makes two mediocre preseason performances. We as fans all expect our team to run roughshod over any and all. But it's preseason, and when we lose, the coaches and players get that much more video to review and work on. Nobody will hand the trophy over to us during the offseason and preseason, unless you're the Commanders.

doesn't matter. the Super Bowl will be played in Florida, which would be better for us.

How have they been a disappointment? This is the preseason. I don't recall reading anything on this board today about this team going to the SB. There's a difference between living the pipe dream and understanding what last night was all about.

If you want to live your life glass half empty - i.e., I support this team but they need to show me something - that's fine. I prefer to be a glass half full type of person - this team is loaded with talent and will be one of the best again this year.

Do they still have to show their mettle in the playoffs? Certainly. But I'm excited about that opportunity. This team knows what they have to do. Don't let last night's game overshadow what they will do.

True. Problem is, the pollyannas never get called out around here, only the realists. Somehow, Bradie James, Greg Ellis and Tony Romo are allowed to express concern, but not members of the Zone. If you do, you're derided as a chicken little, closet Skins fan, traitor, or worse. And people were wondering why that guy started the "Is this a forum?" thread. He was right on the money.

"Pre-season is meaningless!"

Trust me, that wouldn't be their line if we were 2-0 and blowing people out. And if it's meaningless, then we have no right anointing Felix as the "real deal." Apparently, we have so few holes that we can start preparing for December in September. This team deserves our loyalty, but not the benefit of the doubt.
