He's 3 1/2 years younger than McVay. That means he's probably even better.

More like he might be the first in JG's coaching tree. I can see it now. Cowboys offense goes off this year. JG gets extended and KM gets offered HC in NY or SF or Washington, etc. He leaves and takes his team to the SB and we live with that forever.

I hope not. Maybe he would be a phenom but I just don't see it happening. Of course with JJ you never know.

Oh, wait, the never stopped Jerry from deciding the next HC no matter what.

If JG fails to meet expectations of Jerry this season, then why would he want to keep Moore as the new HC.

I think it is meet Jerry's expectations for ALL the coaches this year or be gone.
Now if the D stands out and improves even more, then Richard is still the front runner for HC.

I would agree, except that any HC that is allowed to pick his own staff is another potential Jimmy Johnson. I think Jerry will always leave no doubt that the staff in any given year was a construct of his genius. Garrett is truly on the hot seat, Moore is the kind of coaching virgin - like Garrett was - that Jerry will want to receiving the bulk of coaching accolades because it directly reflects on his judgment.

Any new HC will be in a Catch-22 where he will be required to groom Moore into a good enough OC that he is able to replace him as HC, or get canned - in whole, or in part - because his OC wasn't up to the task.

I believe that I was the first to state that Moore will be our next HC about a year ago. I think Jerry has found another project and next seasons results probably won't alter it.

In a normal teams structure, Moore would still be at the base coaching level learning his craft but not in big D

Richard could very well be next in line but don't be fooled, Moore will be a HC here sooner than later.

Welcome Sean Payton in 2020, no Garrett extension is very telling as this is going to be his man. 2019 will just be a right off so Garrett and Moore can sink.

Who thought McVay was McVay when he got his chance. I am sure many fans around the NFL as well as Rams fans thought..who in the heck is this dumb nut...at first.
I understand the thinking that Moore is a Linehan guy, but that does not mean he is a Linehan clone.
Moore could think, man Scott what in the heck was that, and thought he would have done it differently and be successful.
