They are definitely worse under Zimmer
no they're not absolutely not first of all they took a bunch of our backups away then we had eight players on defense hurt at key positions we lost 4 pass rushers for like 5 weeks and counting we lost Deron bland we literally lost depth we never had a chance I mean Mike Zimmer never had a chance he is one off season to try to change the entire philosophy with less players that's a bunch of nonsense worse did you not see the Green Bay game do I'm gonna keep reminding you of what it looked like last year against teams like the Cardinals how that defense just got crushed by mobile quarterbacks and some teams that had a good running back to go with it and stuck with the run?

Do I need to remind you of the 14 and 17 point leads we lost on the road two years ago against Green Bay and Jacksonville don't you remind you about the San Francisco game last year I mean Dan Quinn is not special it is not better with Quinn versus Zimmer Zimmer had to work with nothing I mean when you lose that many players injury on one side of the ball and then you didn't replace a lot of the depth that he stole and brought over to Washington and Fowler Armstrong and others Mike Zimmer never got a chance I already witnessed Dan Quinn in the big games against the better teams get shellacked all he did is beat up on bad teams

Ryan’s blowharding was exactly what it was… blowharding.
Which do you think Jerry is going to be more interested in… going back to the 43 under that produced 3 years of sacks, pressures and turnovers or another stint in a loud mouth Ryan’s defense that already failed here once before!
Its not as if those aren’t good points, but It’s not going to be about numbers or winning football when the next HC is selected.

One thing about great sales people…they are also easily sold by others. Seems logically incorrect, but I find it to be true.

I believe that when Mike interviewed, Jerry was wowed by the SB talk, some football terms he didnt fully comprehend, and the idea of being able to still be a celebrity and face of the franchise without pushback. He still was able to retain his buddy Moore as OC, yet create the illusion that he finally allowed a HC to select his own staff.

No HC with options is coming here, and they will not be selecting their own staff. Jerry always wants one of “his guys” as a coordinator.

They also don’t want to pay full freight for a HC.

Just saying, it’s going to be someone who is thankful for the payday/opportunity. Someone who has been out of the league and no one else would consider, or a first timer. Someone who understands how they “do things with the Cowboys,” which translates to Jerry saying that it’s all about him, he is the boss and will operate how he likes. If winning football conflicts with that, oh well. Oh you will need to hope for perfect drafts if you’d like to improve the roster.

I sure hope he hires a big name Coach. But history repeats its self all time with Jethro
I’d honestly rather have someone no one has ever heard of but is given full authority over a known name with Jerry’s fingerprints still all over things.

HE is the problem, and doesn’t appear anywhere close to recognizing that.

After last nights thumping, your 2025 Head Coach will be Kellen Moore & Mike Zimmer as the D-Cordinator.

We need someone to right the ship and course correct but you wont get them, your going to get a familiar face and someone they can say will bring back the Dak Friendly offense.
Lol, I don't think Kellen Moore can command a football team. The Cowboys turned the ball over 5 times, any offensive coordinator would have a field day with that.

Knowing Jerry's crazy mind set..I can see that.

With kellen bringing his own OC in his buddy Doug Musseheimer ...

Only I'm interested to see what beholds of AL Harris .who supposedly is very high on..

Could the Jones have him (insist upon ? ) ..be the replacement DC..instead of Mike Zimmer ?

Kellen does strike as a leader of men, and one that makes coaches and players accountable and would draw a tough mentality appeal to both sides of the ball.

He strikes as an X and O type. But rest assure jerry in his mind (yikes) ..would make him out more than what Kellen is... he'd force him to be HC ..whether qualified or not.

After last night I don't think Kellen wants to come back.

An article yesterday mentioned how he moved on amicably in part on his choice. And he says he's learned a lot since leaving.

Booger may want Kellen but Kellen appears to be enjoying his ability to create and run an offense without Booger's help.

One nice thing I will say the Eagles unlike the classless Lions could have run reverses had OL go out for passes had the flea flicker to the open TE play and on and on everything Campbell & Johnson did when staining the Art Gallery carpet .

The Eagles unlike Detroit under multiple coaches going back to Vermeil Reid Pederson now Siriani have won divisions gone to multiple SB’s and see no reason to go out and destroy a team playing QB3 . Detroit has won nothing since the AFL NFL merger and they have not learned how to win , maybe someday .

And no I don’t want Kellen Moore as HC . It would be a typical Jerry move though similar to the elevation of JG and that lost decade .

He was always an awkward dude at Boise State.

He's proven his whiteboard bona fides, but I don't see him as HC material either. I think he is a career coordinator or assistant. Someone will Peter Principle him and give him a chance at HC, but it's not going to go well.

I don't see anything Moore brings to the table. Right now he seems to be a okay OC, and that's it. At this point, I don't see who our next HC will be. JJ used up all his passes. We need a new GM before I would have any enthusiasm for the upcoming season.
