KELLEN MOORE: QB KNOWS AS BACKUP HE MUST BE MORE THAN A “CARETAKER”

Kellen Moore is now in his third season with the Dallas Cowboys. A year ago, he entered Training Camp as the #2 QB behind starter Tony Romo. But Moore suffered a broken ankle one week into camp and spent the rest of the season on Injured Reserve. In his absence, a rookie 4th round pick named Dak Prescott moved into Moore’s role, and then into the #1 job when Romo suffered a back injury three weeks later.
Fast-forward to the start of this summer’s 2017 Training Camp and Moore is back in his #2 spot. He is the veteran backup to Dak Prescott.
One of the most insightful players on the team, Moore is a terrific resource for any reporter who wants to learn more about the Cowboys offense. So that’s why we turn to Moore, the former Boise State star who is the all-time winningest quarterback in the history of college football, for a set of “5 Questions from 5PB”.
