are you willing to be that we won't? We have had all off season to prepare for the inevitable and falled flat on our face....it is not in the DNA of the franchise to be proactive

I here you but we have nobody on the roster that can play left tackle at even a bellow average level currently. The Cowboys have to bite the bullet on this one.

I here you but we have nobody on the roster that can play left tackle at even a bellow average level currently. The Cowboys have to bite the bullet on this one.

They have had to bite the bullet on a number of upgrades over the last 26 years and the franchise has gone hungry and starved it's fans of what we deserve....don't be naive, you know nothing will be done as they aren't talking to anybody, and like they have for the last number of years trying to figure out how to replace Ty until he returns, lol. It's actually comical at this point...

After sleeping on it and listening to Jerry/Shefter Tyler Smith will be the left tackle for Monday’s practice.

Yeah I think possibly a vet….won’t be a great option but a option that keeps Tyler Smith from starting week 1.

This only being muted atm because if we no options then Eric Fisher's agent will play hardball and add a couple of $m during contract negotiations.

If Tyler was the 'option' at LT he would of had at least started a number of the pre-season games at Tackle.

The reality is Tyler is the future at left tackle. It keeps the other 4 linemen at their same spots for continuity. Baptism by fire may not be a bad thing. Run 12 personnel most of the time and have 50/50 run pass ratio. We could actually win some games.

Yeah and who knows….I didn’t see Terrence Steele starting two years ago as a rookie but he did but they at least gave him reps there. If he plays tackle he will be worked in slowly I believe. But I don’t believe tackle is the position they want this year for him. Hasn’t done it all camp. Really would be doing him a disservice throwing him to the wolves like that.

He is the future but I don’t think that future is now. They were working him slowly at guard….they’re just going to throw him at tackle after that? I don’t see it.
