I have had my doubts about Moore in the past. Last year he didn't seem to utilize the players he had on the field very well.

Quinn came in, and as it is told, he gathered his defensive staff together and asked them what they like to see with the defense and schemes. He fashioned this defense to the skill set possessed by each player, and we have seen a marked improvement.

Moore shows he will fashion a game plan to take advantage of the short comings of the opponent. I believe the Tampa Bay game, and his attacking the corners while avoiding running into the teeth of the defense, then following that game plan with his attack of the corners of the line with Pollard shows he is not a one trick pony.

HE IS NOT GARRETT

I look forward to the game plan this week to see how Moore digs into the crack in the Panther's defense, then exploits it for a win. This may be going back to Pollard on the corners and using screen plays to slow their attack. But that isn't even a good guess.

I am really warming up to this guy.

But one thing I will say. This offensive line is performing at a top level, and that bodes well for the Cowboy's offense.

Give Dak time and Moore will call a game that exposes their defense and sends a statement about this team.

He just needs to do his work and mix it up and pick on the weaknesses. Let the Defense do their jobs and make every drive count. Get every point you can. Our kicker has cost us 10 points I think so far. 3 missed FGs and a extra point. I f he makes a chip shot 31 yarder in the bucs game we are 3-0. But if he missed the 56 yarder in the chargers game we are 1-2..

Kellen is maturing nicely as an OC. He has been calling his best games for sure.

We are at home
We have the better QB
We don’t have to face CMC

We should win this game. We will know a lot more about Dallas after this game— one way or the other

Um. GZ missed a 31 yarder and 2 xp the 60yarder doesnt count that like Hail Mary of kicks...that not on him coach decides to do that instead of punt..hes made his last FGs straight down the middle perfectly.

He hasn’t missed 3 actual fgs. Lets stop passing blame on a single player without talking about dropped passes, missed blocks, holding penalties, bad clock management, missed tackles, busted coverages, interceptions and fumbles buy our qb etc

Let me kno what players players and coaches are playing perfectly and we can begin real..we won the chargers game because of Greg. Im betting regardless off the 4 points he didnt give us in Tampa they find way to win anyway..our defense was not stopping them so they would have had different pay call strategy had we got those 4 points..

I think you give kellen too much credit.
after the 58 pass game , MM demanded more running, and before Phil game said we need even more running, and that is what happened.
Me and other fans here have been saying run the ball more for past 2 years, and kellen would not do it.
I think mike had had enough of the kellen air show, and now the team is back to a balanced game and even heavier on the runs.

You may have a good point. But the creativity that this offense is showing leads back to Moore. MM may have demanded more of a run game. Or Moore could be adjusting to each opponent.

Frankly we all would be better served if it were the latter.

I think Quinn is the difference. We were leading the league in offense last year and losing every game.

I agree Quinn is a huge difference maker. And the consistency of Dak this year, both under center and not the QB carousel we saw last year may have a marked affect.

But it seems to me the offense is adjusting each week, more than I can recall in the last 25 years of desperation.

Kellen Moore has been outstanding. He has really become a relentless and unpredictable play caller. How about being a safety and seeing #66 with a head of steam running free to the 2nd level? Moore has become a maser at creating mismatches through personnel packages and formations.

The Cowboys offense is not going to be a difference maker this year. They will consistently be a top 5 unit, as usual, but the difference will be the defense. They now play complimentary football, something that has not been in Dallas and sustainable since probably Parcells.

This team feels special.

That is one of the two things i am enjoying this season.....KM play calling attacking the opponent weaknesses, the way it should be. Sure he makes a head scratching call now and then, but i guess it's for a reason. He has all weapons at his disposal and he uses them. The other thing i enjoy is the swarming, aggressive young defense. It reminds me of the young defense in the first SB run. Did not care whether they were down, tied or up by 20 points....they were hustling, busting heads and kicking arses as a unit. And even after a couple of SB wins, they still played the same. Fun to watch.

This is the kind of game previous teams in this century would come out flat because of all the hype and praise they got during the week. Everyone patting them on the back and jumping on the bandwagon. And lay an egg. I expect them to come out the way they did against philthy. Harass Darnold. Win big.

He missed a chip shot FG and a extra point. 4 points in a game we lost by 2 points. 60 isn’t a chip shot. He pulled out a down the middle 56 yarder or we are 1-2. I give him credit for that. But he has to hit extra points and chip shots. I will agree I am spoiled from having solid kickers in the past years. Recent years not so much. Don’t you miss the days of going to mix a drink or go pee when it’s a extra point or any FG under 55 yards. Lol.

I am not discounting the other mistakes made by many other players. Dak had a sack fumble returned for 6 last week that could have changed the momentum of the game. Actually did but we fought back. Our own Defense scored a pick 6 that tilted it back. Team seems different this year so far. I guess what I am saying is 2 out of 3 games came down to the wire and we need those points a NFL kicker should get on the reg.

thats not how it works!! that erarly Fg and xp would have been made it changes the way TB ;plays to score the rest of the game..good try logic says you are wrong we couldn't stop them for lining up for an easy fg late give them the rest of teh game after that chip shot to adjust how they call plays and they most likely still win the game..GZ made the FG late that gave us the lead that where it ends for him..most likely TB had we been up 6 at any point in the game would have changed the way they played the rest of the game after..

it wasn't the last fg of the game for win or loss or a fg or xp within 4mins left in the game..so no way you can say for certain that 4 points early on lost us the game..its not how teams play calls they easily der them selves up or that last fg our defense gave up 30 easily could have been 34..

you cant go back and simply add the 4 and say yup we would have won..the game unfolds differently series by series and TB knowing they needed 4 less points called plays differently and that fact of football 101...i doubt we win even with that 4 point gz missed..

BTW he hasnt missed an actual FG since 3 straight all true down the middle and looked easy,.,.give it a rest layers all over the field made mistakes that day and in all games..

i blame the defense for allowing TB to drive up and down the field at will all game and outside of soem TOS that made it clsoer it was TEAM< loss MOVE ON, we weren't event supposed to be in that game and made far too many mistakes tow in it in that circumstance.

GZ did NOT lose that game all the other mistakes did..

better clean that up because they made those makes in philly fumbles, blown coverages, gave up big plays , holding calls a many, dropped big play pass and other things like missed blocks etc,,if this wasnt blowout those things came back to haunt you period end of story..we nearly blew the Charger game as well..

blame one player the kicker is fan being blind to many and i mean many mistakes made in all 3 games from he top down..we could easily be 0-3 as much as 3-0 so 2-1 is what we are and theres reasons on both sides for it..

now back to carolina..

So how do you really feel about it. Lol. At the end of the game I would have rather tried to stop them from scoring a td than get into fg range. What I am also saying is that if he continues to miss shorter FGs and extra points then we may need to look at another kicker. If he continues to have his poop in a group then fine. And I also know since they moved the extra points back it’s not a gimmie. Not trying to argue with you. I respect and understand your response.

im standing pat,

you can NOT ion sports go back and add points you issue early in games to the end of score to determine a win..the game would have for sure simply changed few play calls and strategy's for Tampa..like i said we most likely lose anyway..unless this 31 yarder was for the win and he missed sure that would have been on the kicker..

the XP need to be cleaned up maybe the new snapper, new punter(holder) has small issue with the process..who knows yes again hes made his last 3 fgs like butter..one 56 yard gw lets move forward

we can do the woulda coulda shoulda game with many and i mean many plays those for 3 games..

the what if game is tiresome..

Nice of you people to focus on the theme of this thread and not run off finding a rabbit hole of negativity.
Funny.

But at least it didn't find its way to "Dak stinks," which was happening constantly for a while there.

If there's an issue with Moore.....knock it off with the quadruple reverses inside the five. There isn't enough field to defend to allow that to work, and it's not as if we don't have Elliott and a top run blocking OL.

I did think he had a weak series in the 3Q when we had a nice lead, but I mean....that pales in comparison to all the good he has done. No need to nitpick.

We are good enough. Just a matter of getting it done.
