Kelvin Joseph is a long perimeter cornerback prospect who should have the opportunity to develop into a starting outside option for a team. Joseph, who was an early entree into the 2021 NFL Draft, has the kind of length that is very popular right now in the NFL game and has been exposed to a number of different roles throughout the course of his career. He was charged with periodically following Florida TE Kyle Pitts but also has played deep third coverage against some of the more prominent offenses on the Wildcats' schedule—including Alabama. Joseph enjoyed a fruitful season at Kentucky and found the football on a number of occasions, illustrating down-the-field ball skills and effective contesting ability at the catch point. A former LSU Tiger, Joseph has about as slim of a resume as you can get; he played nine games for the Wildcats in 2020 after sitting out the 2019 season on account of transferring in from LSU and will take his talent to the pro game with just 20 total games played at the college level. Because of his inexperience, expect sporadic results in coverage and inconsistent recognition skills until he’s able to allocate more reps and increase his route combination awareness and add more polish to his technique. I wouldn’t endorse an early role, but the three-year projection looks much more favorable than the one-year forecast in 2021.

I don’t get the hate for Surtain by the draft nicks. Every one complains about his play speed. Watching him play national televised games, he seemed to be the best cornerback on the field playing against the best wide receivers in the country. I have watched film clips on Surtain, Horne and Farley. The one thing I notice is I get 3 years of good tape from Surtain while Horne and Farley there are a few excellent plays the make that makes you go wow. I guess I am crazy but I would take the All American from Alabama over a few wow play players.

I need to see more tape on Joseph. He seems to have the tools. He might get drafted high based off of the buzz like the Raiders drafting the cornerback at 19 from Ohio State last draft. I heard he was a 3rd round prospect.

Watching him play national televised games, he seemed to be the best cornerback on the field playing against the best wide receivers in the country. I have watched film clips on Surtain, Horne and Farley. The one thing I notice is I get 3 years of good tape from Surtain while Horne and Farley there are a few excellent plays the make that makes you go wow. I guess I am crazy but I would take the All American from Alabama over a few wow play players.

I need to see more tape on Joseph. He seems to have the tools. He might get drafted high based off of the buzz like the Raiders drafting the cornerback at 19 from Ohio State last draft. I heard he was a 3rd round prospect.

He has that unique ability to always turn his head, locate the football and makes plays on the ball. He can matchup against any type of receiver, big/small quick/fast with his physical traits.

My position of CB's is 10 is I covet Farley. He could help fix a major deficiency our defense has had for years. Creating TO's. We have a couple players recently added to the secondary that have going in the right direction there. Diggs and Wilson. Farley could turn this into a strength. And TO's are critical in today's NFL

I would be fine with Surtain. I think he will be an excellent NFL CB. I just think Farley gives us more kf what we have been needing

Really. You must not think much of the defensive players in this draft. Farley turns me off because of his lack of experience at the cornerback position and his injury history. Sitting out the season did him no favors. Farley is also a year older then Surtain. I think Surtain will go higher then Farley because teams are conservative when it comes to picking a high draft choice. I believe one of Surtain or Farley will be the pick for the Cowboys.

I guess I see can see Surtain and Diggs together because they played together in college. That is such an advantage. Farley will have to be ready because teams are going to attack him. I have to admit he does have potential because on tape he looks like a faster Diggs. The opt out and no mini mini camps scare me when it comes to Farley.

Well if the highest paid defensive player in team history didn't run around telling rookies not to worry about the coach because the owner is the boss....maybe the HC would have a shot at some respect.
